Arrived at the hotel at mid night to check in only to be told by the receptionist that the hotel was overbooked and they would send us to another hotel. The hotel they sent us to was not even in the city, so for a hotel we chose primarily based on location ruined our stay in Zurich. No attempt to offer any kind of refund other than offering a free taxi to the replacement hotel was offered.
When we checked in at the replacement hotel they said that we weren't the only ones this happened to. The following day we were rudely awakened from the staff with a fiery knock on the door, apparently there was a problem with our rooms, we went down to reception to clear it up, apparently the original hotel didn't provide our passport information we gave on arrival, again unprofessional service which you dont need on your holiday.
