This laid-back coastal town with a dream of a river and long beaches is riding the wave of Byron Bay’s celebrity status in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. ‘Bruns’ offers a similar mix of boutique shops, eclectic cafés and summer festivals, but because there is less of everything, there is no pressure to see or do a lot.
