When a boy named Audrey Wilkinson took over the family winery following his father’s death at just 15 years of age, he worked hard to uphold the benchmark his father had set. Now, almost 150 years later, the Audrey Wilkinson Vineyard is one of the most respected wineries in the Hunter Valley, exporting to both Australia and abroad. It’s been rated as one of the top 10 cellar doors in Australia.
At the cellar door, learn about the flavors, processes and varieties of wine from the informative staff. Visitors to this winery will love the picturesque landscape, so enjoy some free samples of the winery’s signature shiraz before moving out to the deck to enjoy a bottle while looking at the views.
Learn about the history of Audrey Wilkinson at the on-site museum. Detailed stories, photographs and relics are presented in a fascinating exhibition.
