The Queensland Museum houses exhibits of cultural heritage, natural history and human wonders all under the one roof in Brisbane’s Cultural Precinct. Explore the museum’s in-depth exhibitions and extensive permanent collection to discover the world beneath your feet and above the clouds. Put your brain and body to the test with exciting hands-on science experiments at the museum’s Sciencentre.
Go back in time to Queensland’s prehistoric past in the Lost Creatures exhibition. This display shows a world where dinosaurs roamed and giant marine reptiles swam in the sea. The Queensland Museum is located in South Bank, within walking distance of the Queensland Art Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art and the State Library of Queensland. Take in views of the Central Business District across the Brisbane River from this exciting Cultural Precinct. The museum is open daily, except for Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. General admission is free; however, Sciencentre has an entrance fee.
