Located just a stone’s throw from the mouth of Ucluelet Inlet, Wild Pacific Trail is known for its unsurpassed views of Vancouver Island’s rugged natural beauty. Hike the Lighthouse Loop section to admire Barkley Sound and the historic Amphitrite Lighthouse. If you’re visiting during spring, keep an eye out for migrating whales and other aquatic creatures. The Artist Loop section boasts cliff-side views of the barrier reef below. If you’re staying in the district municipality of Ucluelet, you really can’t skip this trail. With picnic areas and interactive signs for children, it’s a wonderful place to take the rug rats!
