Not many people know about these somewhat hidden springs near Lake Rotorua. A trail from the carpark follows the stream through a beautiful redwood forest until you reach the deepest fresh-water springs in NZ. The bright green algae in the clear blue stream have a dazzling effect. Swans and ducks swim by for a picture-perfect view. Follow the loop to the "dancing sands". It's hard to explain, just go see it for yourself...
