Los Angeles City Hall

Completed in the early 20th century, this building houses the mayor’s office and meeting chambers of the Los Angeles City Council.

The Los Angeles City Hall is a historic building located in downtown Los Angeles. It has been featured in a number of famous Hollywood films and television shows, including The War of the Worlds and Speed. Take a self-guided walking tour of the downtown area and discover the city hall and other significant buildings.

Picnic in Grand Park, a beautiful public park located just a short walk from City Hall. Los Angeles City Hall is also close to a large contemporary cathedral and the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the official home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.

Discover a stunning view of downtown Los Angeles from the 27th-floor observation deck inside the City Hall. The deck gives a panoramic view of the city and is free to access. See a range of artifacts on the third floor of Los Angeles City Hall. Many of these items have been given to the city as gifts from other countries. Observe the beautiful patterned rotunda on the third floor.
