I recently stayed at VR Auckland City Hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. They offered me a room on the 9th floor , upon entering the room to my surprise the room was not cleaned and it was all dirty leftovers left by the previous occupant. Then they offered me another room on the 2nd floor. The bathroom was cramped, with poor water pressure in the shower, and the amenities were very basic for the price. The Fan was broken and the TV remote had no batteries The staff was not particularly helpful or friendly, I expected much better quality and service. Overall, I would not recommend VR Auckland City Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, pleasant stay. It was a disappointing experience, and I won’t be returning.

The stay was great, but parking was a major issue, with a party of 4 adults and 1 child finding transport was an issue for out of towners , one really great thing we found was a taxi company who dealt with a large group using a van excellent attitude

Good central location. Short walk to Sky Tower, 7 min walk to Hobson St bus terminal (took InterCity bus to Rotorua after our stay) & near shopping areas. Bed was comfortable & good size for our 2 bedroom apartment. Only complaint, washer but no dryer so we hung our clothes around the apartment. Also need dishwashing liquid, kitchen sponges/towels & paper towels.

Stayed 1 night while in transit, close to Sky Tower it was conveninent when catching Skydrive Airport Bus from there.I was given a room with 2 bed rooms with living,kitchen more than enough space for 1 person.Just bathroom drain pipes need to be cleared.Shower and hand wash basin.Staff friendly and welcoming,I will stay here again as quite value for money,
