Everything about this place was fantastic but one thing (I'll get to that at the end). -You can't beat the location. Our lodge was right on the water, and we could see it right outside the room. At night if it got windy, i could open the screen door and hear the waves at night. Better than any noise machine or peaceful music. -The staff was super friendly and helpful. They greet you with a smile and have that typical midwest hospitality. -Free bike and canoe rentals -4 miles of trails to take said bike rental, and an entire bay to canoe on. -Only bad thing was the resturaunt. They sell themsleves as a fancy resturaunt, but the food was mediocre and the service was terrible. Other than that, I'd definitely come again! :D

Nice place away from busy tourist area
We had a great time. Plus: a little ways away from the hustle and bustle, beautiful trails and waterfront area, great breakfast, our unit had mini kitchen so we could save $$ and have pizza in room. Negative: had a downstairs unit and either people above us were stomping (which I doubt) or there is poor sound insulation between floors. We went off season and it was great. I'd be more concerned during peak on if the place gets crowded. It's like a mini resort with apartments and cabins spread throughout

I highly highly recommend Gordon lodge for your stay in door county! Beautiful property, right on Lake Michigan! We stayed in our own little cottage which was so cozy, cute and clean. They have a restaurant on site which had awesome food and they provide free breakfast!! We will be back.

Gordon Lodge is a great retreat space. They offer so many amenities that you could spend all your time in DC there. Nature trails, biking, kayaking, etc. The on site restaurant offers a variety of menu options that would appeal to most. I travel solo and felt completely safe there. Also, walking out my back door to watch the sunrise is an added bonus.

Gordon Lodge was a delightful surprise. The grounds are well maintained and decorated beautifully. Our room had a private patio and spectacular view of the lake and sunrise. We enjoyed the peaceful quiet rather than the busyness of the more touristy areas. The breakfast buffet was tasty, the many choices should satisfy anyone. The staff were all friendly. We really enjoyed celebrating our 20th anniversary at Gordon Lodge.

First the took the whole amount for the weekend right away from our account even though I chose to do half. The place is very dated needs remodeling. The first room had fruit flies or something all over the kitchen. 2nd rm. was not very clean and there was food in the kitchen sink. Also you can’t clean with your own cleaning supplies. No pets allowed but when pointed out that someone had two cats they allowed the person to stay!

Absolutely stunning view in bayside rooms and cottages. Use of bikes, kayaks and paddle boards with no additional cost. Very nice staff and clean rooms. Food was excellent!
