Disappointing Stay - Uncomfortable Bedding & Room
It was a disappointing experience. It seems like the only focus of this hotel is its antiques decor which is overwhelming in quantity and hampers the common areas, such as a very uncomfortable cramped shared breakfast room and lift. Considering the high end price (higher than five star luxury hotels in BKK), the standards of comfort, service, cleanliness are very low. Struggling to meet a basic standard. Irritating problems such as: the pillows being flat and lumpy, blinds not working properly, wash basin’s plug not working, gives an overall bad impression of carelessness of the most basic amenities. However the staffs are polite, but despite the expressing the concerns above, no changes were made during our stay. The Cabochon is not the grand hotel like the photography and the high end price suggests, it is rather an independent small boutique hotel which we cannot justify the high price of our stay. In the end we just couldn’t take it anymore and actually checked out 1 night earlier to stay in other hotel.

Really like this space, it may not be a big brand/hotel but it's packed with so much details and effort in the design. From customer services to the designs of the room, I'm very impressed! The interior lighting is mostly dim, so it doesn't justify the photos taken. For breakfast, there's a few dishes to choose from and different stations from a variety of fruits, to pastry, yoghurt, juice of the day and even a small porridge station. I enjoyed the rooftop pool the most, very pretty!!

This place had such a unique, funky vibe and was hidden away from a busy street in Bangkok. All the details were thoughtful, everything seemed like it belonged, and even in the most basic room (where I stayed), it was beautiful.

This is an amazing hotel. Anywhere else, it would be a beautiful historic building with charm. In Bangkok it is simply astounding (and a blessing!) that such a sanctuary of serenity and comfort exists just off a main road.

I did enjoy staying at Cabochon. A beautiful and quiet place. Friendly staffs prepared my take away lunch for my rush to the airport, A peaceful swimming pool. I am not sure if this is specific to my room, I would like it more if I can fix the shower hose on the wall rather than holding it by my hand during my shower. I also spoiled my fruit as the hotel did not indicate the refrigerator is out of order. In general I enjoyed my stay and would like to come back.

Beautiful hotel - brilliant staff
The Cabochon is beautiful, and the staff are both very friendly and very proactively competent (even going so far as to remember I had asked about gluten-free bread on a previous stay, and having some in store for me). The wifi isn't great, but the setting is lovely.

Beautifully designed and comfortable stay
This hotel was great. Location is central and close to the BTS Skytrain. Hotel staff were very helpful with recommendations and activities. Restaurant in hotel is very good. Best part was the breakfast you are given unlimited pastries/yogurt and then can select your own breakfast meal (eggs etc..) off a menu so it feels like you are in a restaurant. Only downside was our room which was smaller than I thought and for price we paid I expected better. I believe we got the queen bed with deck room.
