Upon arrival, the husband of the front desk clerk was greeting guest!!! Note at front desk-Senior Discount. Because I booked thru a 3rd party, not available!!! As I went to park my vehicle, broken glass in parking lot outside my door. The man from the lobby was walking by and I asked him if he worked there , he reply - my wife does. She cleaned up the glass. If you wanted your room cleaned, you put your towels outside your door. I thought this was a motel not a long stay facility!!!! Another guest in the dining room was trying to find the attendant at least 7 time either at the kitchen door or front desk. Finally, someone showed up. Great customer sercice. I paid a pretty good rate for a substandard motel!!! The only thing good was the lobby!!! I will never consider a Best Western again!!! Oh, by the way - I have been in the hospitality business and customer service industry for many years!!!!

LOVE Banner Elk, MOTEL can use some work. The property itself is quite lovely, and in a great area. The rooms open to the outside and there are no elevators which can cause issue if you have a ton of luggage or have physical restrictions. The rooms are typical hotel rooms, beds are comfy, AC isn’t great, and hot water is unpredictable. They only clean the room if you stay more than 4 nights so towels and trash pile up. The towels are more like gauze so it takes a few per shower. Breakfast is decent but the nightly front desk staff could use some training on friendliness. We’d stay here again but it’s not a great value for the cost.

High Price Point for Motel
Very average stay. This is a motel with rooms access on the outside. Rooms are small and beds are only a double. For $200 a night, I expect a queen and breakfast with more options. Coffee was cold and no healthy options. I have never paid $200 for a motel in my life. For $100, I would not care about these services. Staff was friendly. Location was just okay.
