This is THE place to stay in Salida.
Would prefer not to recommend; it is such a great, newly upgraded motel (by owners/contractors) who know who guests would appreciate for a stay!!! Second stay here and my “go to” on future visits to one of the best small, historical, mountain towns in Colorado. Salida is a year/round recreation area, great restaurants, shops, arts, etc.

Silver Ridge Lodge became a Holiday Haven by delivering comfort and superb staff service. The front desk cheerfully answered any requests, while the room was sparkling clean and perfectly pillow~top comfortable. The safe and quiet area was walkable to the Salida Aquatic Center and high-quality restaurants. Their enclosed saltwater hot tub and barrel sauna were the ultimate winter soother and super sanitized. This hidden gem will become our new go~to overnight stay!

Outstanding, extremely comfortable one night stay
What an amazing, well kept, updated place to stay! Room temperature was great. The private salt water hot tub and steam sauna room was just what we needed. Beds were comfortable -- slept like a baby! Kitchenette was great to have as was the coffee maker. Breakfast was the standard that you get at most hotels in the US now a days but was attended to by 2 very attentive women. All staff was extremely pleasant. No room key needed as all doors have numerical key pads on them keyed to an identifier of yours. Convenient location. We only live 2.5 hrs from there but will go back just for the experience!

All the staff were nice and the room was furnished nicely. However, the lobby reeked of cigarettes and made us smell bad just from checking in and checking out. The room was cold and the heater didn’t work well so we huddled under our blankets to stay warm. The breakfast was good but they ran out of food by the time we ate on our second morning.

Cleanliness is very good due to commitment of Breakfast, Housekeeping and Maintenance staff (consider that this property is pet friendly [dogs] at the time of our stay). All staff were very courteous, friendly, informative and dedicated to their work at this enjoyable property. Noticed that all guests were respectfully quiet through nighttime hours, too.
