Unfortunately the antenna was broken and the room had no tv reception. Was given a couple of complimentary drink vouchers but had to walk 10 mins to another hotel to watch the cricket and have a few beverages.

Brassey House is very nice accommodation and the staff, especially Natalia, are lovely and helpful. However, parking on wet days is about 100m away from the property and even stopping off at the entrance (as I found) is problematic as pushy local users of the gym presume they have right of way through the curved entry road.

Comfortable, but lacking some important anenities
The hotel is a comfirtable, older hotel, with some modern amenities. The bed was very comfortable. However, the bathroom was under par, being very small, with low lighting and not nearly enough space for toilet articles. The lighting in the room generally was very low. The TV was quite large, but visible only from the bed and not from the couch. Lastly, the snack bar was nice, but it was necessary to go to a related hotel a block away for meals, and there were few other restaurants nearby.

Location is very good, but the property is rundown, and badly maintained despite the staffs best efforts. Bathroom door and shower door wouldn't close, gym was rented out to basketball training, with noise from the balls and coach echoing in the rear service area and rear rooms from 4 to 6. The bed head was detached from the wall and leaned over the pillows, and no hot water on the departure morning. Just not good enough whatever the price.
