Upon entering the room, there were numerous stains on the carpet. They did not look like there was any attempt to clean them ever . Tried to relax with a drink at the bar, only to find the “bartender” had zero experience making drinks. Bar closed at 9:00, a bit early when there is not much to in town. Breakfast coffee was terrible. Buffet was cold. The place has potential, these are easy fixes!

Everything was great. But the pillows. The pillows were stiff and HUGE! Absolutely horrible night sleep and woke with a stiff neck.

It was a pleasant stay. We had to be moved to a different room because of a plumbing issue in the room above us, but they took care of it efficiently. The new room was a tad larger and they didn't charge for that. The Anthracite Hotel is our go-to place when we visit family in the area.

We arrived late in the day and the desk clerk was very helpful and friendly...even getting the elevator for us and stated several times, if we need anything to please let him know. Very clean, comfortable hotel in a nice area. Covered car garage right at the back door.

Shower drain did not work properly. Lost power overnight and room became very hot. We were told hotel bar was open until midnight and when we went down on Sunday night at 10pm it was closed. Other than that very great place, would stay again.
