Great Location!
Unit was good for our group (2 adults & 3 kids). We did bring an air mattress to avoid using the sofa bed. The unit was laid out well with great views from either deck. Missing linens were delivered the same day. The kitchen was sparce but if you know that ahead of time (I had read the reviews), just bring what you need. I brought a baking sheet, large deep saute pan, ice cream scoop and 9x13 baking dish. Having the washer and dryer on the deck was great! Having the shower separate from the toilet/sink was also great. Location was perfect. Will be booking for next year!

This property hadn't been cleaned when we arrived. We called and they told us the person skipped over it. Sheets hadn't been changed, no clean towels, floors were dirty. They only refunded at best 1/4 of the money. Very disappointing.

Carolina Beach Lake across the street!
We loved Carolina Beach Lake (the lake across the street) and the walking path around the lake. Also, we enjoyed walking on the beach. The location of the condo is excellent and wonderful restaurants in the area (Havana’s, for example!). . The primary bedroom and bath were fine regarding size, but the tub/shower, tile grout, sink, and the floors could maybe benefit from a little deep-cleaning. The second bedroom (with bunk beds)is rather small. Both bedrooms have window-style curtains covering the closet entrance instead of doors. Overall, the unit perhaps could benefit from a little TLC. The chair in the living room is absolutely usable but a loose spring (?) causes loud noises when you sit or move. Other furniture was older but functional; however, more lamps, better quality towels and linens would be nice. Noise!We could hear the tenants walking and talking in the unit above us. The deck furniture was fine, but on the lake side, it would have been nicer if the chairs were a bit taller because with the height of the current chairs, the view of the lake is blocked by the railing on the deck. We didn’t use the ocean-side deck because the view was primarily of the tall buildings in front of us. We didn’t understand that there would be a building in front of ours that would almost completely block the ocean view from this condo. The furniture and appliances appeared to be older, dated, and basic but served their purpose. The unit was advertised as having a Smart TV with Roku and WIFi but we repeatedly received a message saying the password we were given was incorrect. In one email exchange, we were advised that we could use the 2nd floor Internet connection instead of our 1st floor connection. That did not work for accessing the TV but it allowed our phones to access the Wifi signal while we were in the living room/kitchen (but the signal didn’t reach other rooms). We were never able to get the TVs to work (again, the message said the password was incorrect.) We sent email messages several times, and we received a response to some of the messages but not for others. We asked for the password to be reset, and we didn’t receive a reply to that request. Overall, we had a good time because Carolina Beach and Wilmington are both great places!

Overall a nice getaway
Pros: The location of this property is great! For not being beachfront it’s fantastic. Beautiful view of the lake from the main bedroom. Cute porch areas. Cons: While the place was clean. The decor was a bit Spartan. Also the quality felt somewhat cheap and the type of furniture I had in college. Could use a new rug in the living room. You are at the mercy of whom ever is staying upstairs. Just the nature of staying in a condo. There were some feet running back and forth at bedtime (8-9pm) and later into the night we heard above us in the master. Overall…thank you for a nice little beach getaway. Much needed!

Great, convenient location!
This was a nice condo to get through the weekend. The host were easy to get in contact with. I few upgrades needed like a broken towel rack and mold on bathroom ceiling. It was nice to have a kitchen full of utensils and other things for cooking. We enjoyed our stay and the best part was how close of a walk it was to the beach, boardwalk, restaurants and shops!

Good location is where it ends. Very cheap and old furniture. No pictures on the walls. Only a place to flop nothing spectacular. For the price should be in much better shape and nice amenities.

Nothing like the pictures
The unit has obviously not been taken care of. The towel rack was off the wall. There was a big hole in the wall in the bunk bed room. The pull out couch was all springs. The floor in the bathroom was absolutely disgusting!! There was no broom so we had to walk on sandy floors all week. We stayed out of the house as much as possible. The only redeeming quality is the access to the beach, Veggie Wagon and Boardwalk. I would at least expect to be able to hang a towel up in the bathroom.5 people ended up using the same shower for the whole week. I do not recommend this place at all!

This was a good rental for the price. Easy access to lake and beach and had everything that you need. The only thing I'd change was that the beds were extremely hard. So if you're used to a soft pillow top mattress it may be tough. Overall though good rental.

Property was conveniently located to beach and boardwalk. Room was clean and nicely set up, but washer and dryer smelled, as did clothes after washing. Original listing stated bath towels would be available, but not beach towels. Then check in directions stated NO towels would be there, so we hauled towels for 5 people from California only to find there were actually bath towels there...huge inconvenience. And it would have been helpful to know there was NO soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the bathrooms AND nothing in the kitchen (salt, pepper, pan spray). Check out directions stated all towels must be washed and in dryer and dishwasher unloaded and dishes put away...this is a lot to get done when you have to be out by 11 and everyone has to shower and eat. Other places I've stayed just ask that towels be in washer and dishes in dishwasher (washing) so cleaning staff can finish in timely manner which is more doable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the location. Just a few frustrations.
