We choose the Hotel due to the location and proximity to the beach and shops. However, the hotel room offered was very dated, subpar accommodations, bugs in the room, I couldn't take it, mold spots along the tub and shower, shower head was scummed and barely had water coming out. Very sad and not worth the money, would not recommend until this place is renovated. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Decent place.
Wasn’t a bad place to stay. Close to the ocean. Convenient shopping around. However, the smell in the room was undesirable. The room was clean but the smell. The smell won’t stop me from staying again but I’ll definitely bring an air freshener to help.

At check in, we were not informed that the pool was closed. Did not find out until we saw the sign on the pool. Front desk told us when we called that it was due to a recent storm, which had happened 2 days earlier. They acted like it was no big deal. We called other local facilities, who said their pools were fine. We told the front desk we'd be checking out the next day. Next morning, pool was still closed, and when asked all anyone could say was pool is going to open at 12.Like no one had any customer service skills.

RECENT STAY AT HOMEWOOD SUITS MT PLEASANT SC
THE FIRST ROOM THEY GAVE US HAD MOLD GROWING ON THE CEILINGS AND SMELLED BAD. THE AIR CONDITIONER DID NOT WORK RIGHT ON THE ROOM THEY MOVED US TO; IT WAS COLD AND MOIST IN THE ROOM. WE WERE THERE FOR 5 DAYS AND AT THE END OF OUR STAY MOLD BEGAN GROWING ON THE CEILINGS. THEIR EXCUSE WAS THAT TS DEBBIE KNOCKED OUT THEIR A/C AND THEY WERE STILL TRYING TO WORK OUT THE KINKS. WHEN THEY PROVIDED MAID SERVICE TO CHANGE OUT THE TOWELS THEY NEVER EMPTIED THE GARBAGE.

Although it was clean and convenient, the room smelled like mildew or mold. We asked for a different room and it had the same smell. Someone with sensitive breathing or allergies could not have stayed in our room. I understand they are going through a remodel in 2024. They had also recently experienced flooding, so we wanted to show grace there, but then we would’ve expected to be on an upper floor. If they remodel and the smell goes away, we would stay again. Such a convenient drive to the beach!

The only concern with our room was a little bit of ceiling that came down by the vent in the living room space. Other than that, this was a comfortable place to stay close to Isle of Palms and Charleston.

If I could give this place a ZERO I would! We came for my daughter’s 7th birthday. We found a Bed Bugs in the bed! It was crawling on the pillow! I called the front desk and they moved us to another room. Once we got to that room, I ended up killing 3 spiders over a 3 hr time frame! The next day I saw another type of bug I’m not sure what it was but we ended up leaving a day early because I was to afraid of my immunocompromised 2 year old being bit by something and us landing a hospital admission! I was never offered a refund or complimentary night. NOTHING. Everytime I asked to speak to management I was told to “come back” they weren’t available. I will never bring my family back here. Not to mention, they had another family in the bed bug room not even 14 hours after moving us out! Absolutely disgusting.
