This cabin in an historical area, we have at the land an old train trestle. By the end of the 1800s, a railroad started hauling timber from Cloudcroft New Mexico to Alamogordo. Because of the scenic beauty of this mountainous route, the idea of a tourist attraction was brought to fruition. This route ran from the early 1900's until 1948. Because of the high elevation (8,676 feet, 2644 m., one of the highest in the US) allows for a mild summer and snowy winter.
