The hotel room was nice however the ceiling tiles throughout the hotel were falling down and no one was cleaning the mess just left the crumbs from the tile laying on the floor for everyone to walk over. The toilet was barely able to flush and needs a plunger. There was no explanation on how to activate the whirlpool tub had to figure it out our self because front desk had no clue on how they worked. Breakfast tasted.like it was leftovers from the day before the food was horrible to say the least. If those few things were corrected we would for sure stay again.

When we got there, one of the clerks was helping another guest, but the all-around handyman helped us check in and he was wonderful. The highlight of the trip was Terri at the bar. She was so funny and personable. Say hi to her when you go there! we’re now only staying at Stoney Creek Inn when we go to Columbia.

Really great staff. Had a mix up with the rooms and they fixed without any effort or frustration. Rooms were great, just a bit dated. Everything was clean and proper in general is in good shape. Really good value for the price and location.

Beds were super comfortable!! Loved the layout of the room, and stayed in one of the cottages. It was very spacious! Cleanliness could have been much better, I had to clean the Keurig prior to using it and surfaces seemed to have been barely brushed over if at all. I also walked the entire hotel before finding the pool area, very few signs. 5 stars for comfort, 1 star for cleanliness!

The room we stayed in was large and roomy and dated. It was a good size for our family while driving across country and had a kitchenette, which we were not expecting. The elevator lobby had a strange smell, the pool area was a little run down and the hot tub was not super hot, and the jets working. Not a terrible experience but not one that I feel like I need to make a point to stay here again if driving across country.

My room was supposed to be two queen beds, and they were both full size. We couldn’t get our room key to work for 5 minutes before an employee told us that the lock was installed wrong on our door. Both beds creaked so loud with the slightest movement that we finally had to put our mattress on the floor. The room looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time, and there were food remnants on the hard floors.

The only issue we had was the hot water in our room would not stay warm very long. Other then that it is very fancy!! Best place ever the pool was great and they beds were very comfy.

Offbeat Rooms; Great Amenities
We booked as part of a road trip just passing through but also because of the unique amenities like the log cabin walls, the indoor pool and hot tub, plus a hot breakfast. Free parking was also a bonus. The place was as described. There were no dishes or utensils in the kitchen but we were only there one night so it was fine. The nearest working ice machine was on the other side of the building. It was a quiet night sleep. Lamps and fixtures were broken and need some TLC. We had to argue with two staff members about my service dog which really tainted my experience. Staff needs some minimal training on recognizing and vetting real service animals so the hotel does not get in legal hot water and so staff doesn’t discriminate against people with disabilities.
