We stayed 6 nights at this property for a Cooperstown tourney. There are definite pros and cons so be informed before you go.
Pros:
Scott and his dog are great. Scott had great, quick communication with us and is a great guy!
We went for a baseball tournament and the house is conveniently located close to the field- just a short drive.
The house has all of the necessities (plates, glasses, pans, toilet paper etc)
Bed was decently comfortable with clean sheets.
Cons:
The house itself is over 150 years old. It is what you would imagine for a house this old: creaky, Strange layout, dusty. The lights aren’t all on your typical switches. Some you twist on right by the bulb and some rooms had lamps.
While the house has AC, it is not central AC, it is in window ac and one room has just fans (with the smaller beds). The fan blew bugs in.
The upstairs bathroom which is small had over 7 mirrors in it. It felt like a lot. We did not use the bathtub/shower upstairs, we only used the shower downstairs which is more modern.
There is a washer and drier, but you will need to connect with the owner to get the padlock code to the room since it will be locked.
The house is connected in a hallway to a little cottage on the side, with a locking door in between. We were unaware of this so when we heard a TV through the door, it was unexpected. After contacting Scott, he promptly clarified that someone else was renting that part.
Overall, it wasn’t worth the high cost but ok
