Accommodation In Rajasthan\n
One of India's most romantic, culturally rich and naturally sublime regions, Rajasthan can be summed up in one word—spectacular. There is so much to explore in this varied region that it's wise to dedicate a decent period of time to discover as much as possible. We offer Rajasthan hotels to make sure you are always well catered for.
Among the many incredible sites in Rajasthan is the city of Jodhpur, otherwise known as the blue city. From a high plateau, Meherangarh Fort overlooks the city below which is populated with buildings all painted in sky blue. From down on the ground or from up at the fort the views are remarkable and at sunset the city displays eye-dazzling contrasts of blues and reds. From the sky blues and earthy reds at Jodhpur to the golden hues at Jaisalmer Fort, this is another city worth seeing at sunset. Jaisalmer is very similar in layout to Jodhpur but as the sun goes down the natural golden shades illuminate the fort above the city to create another incredible sight.
Rajasthan is known as a fairly dry region but it is also home to one of the most lush hill side retreats in India. Mount Abu is ideal for trekking because of its Alpine geography but the main reason to visit is to see the Dilwara Temples which almost defy belief in their sheer complexity and detail. Carved from marble these temples are world famous and are a major site of pilgrimage for Jains. From our hotels in Rajasthan, another temple of interest is the Deshnok Karni Mata Temple which is not for the squeamish. The temple is now overrun by thousands and thousands of rats but this is intentional. They are believed to be reincarnations of the Karni Mata family and are regularly fed with bowls of milk.
Unfortunately, 350 words cannot do justice to Rajasthan but if you're schedule allows you the time we recommend dropping in on the picturesque city of Udaipur. The capital of the region, Jaipur, is also an essential visit and we have plenty of Jaipur hotels to provide you with an excellent stay.
