I reserved a River View King Suite with Balcony 4 months ago. Upon check in I was given a standard room. When I questioned the room assignment I was told that the problem was that the 3rd party Expedia sold me a room that wasn't available and that the hotel can't guarantee rooms booked through 3rd parties. When I insisted I needed a room with a separate work space, the hotel's solution was to put us in a room in a part of the hotel where the AC was not working with the instruction to "open the balcony door" to cool down the room. We closed all the curtains, opened the balcony door but it took well over 4 hours to bring the room temp down from 87 degrees to a bearable 72 degrees. By 1pm the next day, temps were back into the 80's in the room, remaining in the mid 80's until the early evening when the sun started to set. No efforts were made to switch us to an air conditioned room the second night despite plenty of availability. I was lead to believe some sort of price adjustment/compensation would be applied to my bill, but that did not happen either. I have never been so excited to check OUT of a hotel. The Centennial is part of the Davenport Collection, which we have stayed at many times before, but don't be fooled, they fall WAY short of the level of service you can expect from any of the other Davenport hotels in Spokane. I won't recommend The Centennial and do be aware that your reservation through Expedia isn't worth the confirmation email they are typed on.

TV, did not work on arrival, repair person did not show up, repeated, request at 9:30 pm, at least 20 minutes out, cancelled. Spoke to the front desk in the morning they said they we inform them when they came on duty at 7:30. Sunday there were no pool towels, talked to housekeeping they said they would contact someone, no one showed, went to the front desk and requested towels, none showed up, finally just went and got room towel. When we were ready to leave the parking ticket, would not work, had to get a 1 time exit ticket from the front desk so we could depart.

Surcharge $20 plus tax,to cover parking, wifi ,in room coffee(2 coffee pods) and 2 bottles of water. This should be included based on the price of the room. Shuttle was unavailable(they didn’t even answer the phone when called). Would not be our first choice next time we travel to Spokane.
