We had a wonderful stay at the Marble Mansion Inn! We came for the weekend as we were skiing at Killington - it is about a 45-50 minute drive to the mountain, but if you don't mind not being on the first chair, it's definitely worth it. The whole place is beautifully decorated and cozy, and they will provide you with logs at a nominal cost for a fire in your room in the evening (we stayed in the Jane Austen room, which had its own fireplace). The place is historic, so some amenities like the shower, TV, etc., are nothing to write home about, but everything was very clean and functional. And we had no issues with staying warm even though it was below zero outside at night.
We had a great time chatting with Greg about the history of the house, and he and Sharon were so accommodating (especially when we had to arrive late for check in because of a snowstorm). They serve delicious homemade breakfast for you at the exact time you ask for it in the morning, so that you can get in a good meal before you hit the slopes. And having their two cats around in the morning was an extra special treat!
