Great family friendly resort. Excellent for multigenerational trip. Changing rooms need some updating, some of the indoor water park slides need updating. Great value even with some parts closed. Buffet breakfast was excellent quality, price and selection.

We stayed at the Chula Vista many years ago and I remember being impressed with the size of the rooms. My family values space, so we appreciated that, but the property (specifically the rooms) really haven’t been maintained, lots of chips in the walls and furniture and not nearly enough towels even to dry hands. There was also a hair tie in a bedroom that didn’t belong to us.

The only complaint is that of the water park hours. The closing time of 7pm seems way too early. At least the indoor part should remain open longer. The kids aren't ready for bed yet! It's vacation! Also the outlet by the sink was completely broken. I was unable to use the curling wand or blow-dryer in front of the mirror. Other than that, the kids had a great time, which is what matters.

There was no ice machine, the toilet was so hard to flush and when it did it splashed out at you. Lotion dispenser was completely pulled out. Place was not cleaned very good.

Got the villa suite do to the extra room. Pictures on expedia are not accurate. 2 pictures show actual room, two pictures are false. Asked the front desk the next day, was told we got an older villa. So not what i thought we paid for. Asked for a partial refund since we did stay. Was denied. Asked expedia to make it right on their end. Still waiting to see what happens. Looks super nice and could be really nice. First room they put us in, carpet was like a sponge and the fill valve for the toilet was sticking. Then next room we moved to was nice, but little details have me convinced to just stay elsewhere. Toilet seat loose, dead bug on shower curtain. Valve for shower head was meesed up, squealing when on. Door to balcony was very hard to open, and the outside handle was pretty loose, and right next to frame. Had to wedge my fingers between the handle and frame to open. This could easily be a 5 start resort. Im older, so im blaming the current management team. The staff on the other hand were very nice and helpfull. I wll try another resort next time.

This is a gem! The rooms are beautiful, awesome amenities! We had a full kitchen, giant tub, and 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms for our group which worked out beautifully! Very fun water park and beautiful outdoors and grounds!

The property itself was spread out and was in a nice secluded quiet area. The rooms were pretty decent with a full fridge and stove, along with a quaint little balcony. My only little nitpicks were that our room wasn't ready when we arrived, some of the water slides were closed for some reason, and the signs telling which direction hotel registration and other areas were, was quite small and only in the one area (that i noticed).I didn't even notice it until the next day. I ended up walking into the wrong building, because nothing was marked that well.

Upon check in, I was charged the full amount of the stay even though I had paid partial (to Expedia) at booking. I explained this to the front desk and the person asked for proof. I pulled up my full receipt from Expedia showing the amount I had already paid from Expedia and she said that wasn’t good enough and said sometimes “that just happens”. I asked to speak to a manager and she said there was no one to speak to. Ended up paying in full plus the $200 I had paid at booking because I couldn’t turn around and disappoint my young kids. Additionally, we paid for a cleaning fee yet we were informed there was no housekeeping services during our stay. We had to leave our garbage outside and no one came to even grab that after leaving it outside for 48 hours. We stayed in a 2 Queen villa, golf view which seemed to be lacking some amenities. There were no sheets for the pull out couch. The toaster was broken. There were no fitted sheets on the beds so woke up on the mattress protector both mornings. No lotion or conditioner. We could not use the patio due to birds being everywhere and bird poop piled up right by our door and all around the patio area. For what we paid (and the extra $200 !!!) I did not feel it was worth it. My kids loved the waterparks and I would like to take them back but at this point I’m not sure we would return.
