Couples’ Weekend in Galveston.

It was a nice stay. Bed was super comfy. The property needs some tlc. All of the wood on the property was cracked and decaying event through all the layers of paint. Our room needs weather stripping replaced on the door. The room had some mildew issues in the bathroom and smelled a bit musty. Granted, when you live or have property on a Seawall with the ocean across the street, it is difficult to maintain. We were hit by Hurricane Beryl so there should be some allowances for that. The pool area, pool bar, and hot tub would be nice in warmer weather. It’s nice there are 2 restaurants on the property and we could walk without having to find parking.

Smells like mold, the pool was closed for issues with the water and when it finally opened the day before i left they were doing roof repairs and had half of the area blocked of so there was no where to sit. Dont be fooled by the patio/balcony they advertise for each room. Its a plastic chair outside of your door.

Decent stay

A decent vintage hotel. It’s right across the street from the beach. We stayed on the second floor with a sea view. The room was clean and had a flat screen tv vintage style fridge and microwave. The bed was too soft and the shower head was way too low for anyone close to 6’. Overall it was a decent stay.

The property is in a great location, but is showing its age. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, and the staff were all friendly. They offer free cruise parking which was the main reason we stayed here.
