Close to the strip
We were very pleased. The cabin was just as described and we even got to see bears!! Closest we’ve ever stayed to the strip, it was very convenient. Stephan was very quick to respond and accommodating. We enjoyed ourselves and would stay there again.

Family vacation
Great home! Accommodated us quite well. Visited multiple times a day by bears. A mama and two cubs, another mama and her 3 cubs, a few junior bears and one big brazen fella! Loved the location but wish I had a view of the mountains instead of the trees. Easy to get to downtown Gatlinburg, Dollywood and Caden Cove. I highly recommend this home!

Very spacious
The cabin is extremely spacious with everything being spread out on three levels. The living room/kitchen area was a great space for our group of eight. The kitchen is well supplied with everything we needed for the few meals we cooked there, and the large table accommodated us all. The drive up the mountain is not too bad in comparison to many Smoky Mountains cabins but we chose to be home before dark as

We enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Bear Santuary cabin and loved having the 4 king size beds. Stephen was wonderful returning any phone calls with our questions.. We had daily visits from the local bears and followed all the bear rules. 🐻 Look forward to coming again.

Perfect Location!
The Chalet Village location in proximity to the National park was absolutely perfect! We hiked several trails in the mountains almost everyday. The beautiful town of Gatlinburg was quiet, entertaining and also conveniently located to other areas of interest. The cabin was perfect for our family of 8, with plenty of space. We had several close encounters with black bears on the property during our stay, which was very cool to see, but you can tell that there must have been visitors to the area in the past that have not respected the locals warnings and advice on not feeding the bears. These guys are just looking for handouts, so please do not feed them for your safety and theirs. The cabin and unique setting were absolutely beautiful, so for future visitors, let’s help keep it that way for everyone’s comfort and enjoyment! Would absolutely stay here again, and so grateful for the wonderful memories we made:)

Everything we expected and more
The property was exactly as advertised! It was the perfect amount of space for our family: four adults, teen/tween daughters and a small dog. The mattresses were the most comfortable thing ever! Everything was very clean and I felt very safe letting our dog roam and sniff (inside) while we were home without worrying she’d find something dangerous. There was even plenty of good places for her crate to fit out of the way. They obviously do a thorough job cleaning because even though it’s pet friendly it never seemed like our pup found any “suspicious” spots to sniff at or anything. If you bring a pup along there is not much of a “yard” for them to use for going potty but we made it work without any problems! There is an incredible view just a short walk down the road and the house itself is very peaceful and quiet. The kitchen had most of the utensils and things you’d need and some salt and pepper but you’ll want to bring along any extra spices you’d want for cooking and thingsv like ziplock baggies. The hot tub was so relaxing after a long hike and the family loved playing pool with each other. We loved having Roku tv and were able to watch anything we wanted in the evenings. I can’t say enough great things about this place … we hope to get to come back some day!!

Beautiful cabin in the mountains!
This home was such a treat. Really, the perfect getaway with my family. How often do you get a rental with 4 king sized bedrooms? It was plenty of space and the hot tub on the back deck overlooking the woods was a bonus! Host was really great with communication and the check in and check out process was easy. We liked how it felt like a true log cabin but with modern touches (nice tvs and keyless entry, etc). Thanks so much for the visit!

Anniversary Trip
We brought our elderly parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. The cabin was perfect with flat parking and a master on the main. It was also very close to the Gatlinburg strip. The roads are very curvy and mountainous getting there, but the cabin was perfect for us! The owners were very responsive when we had an issue with the oven, but it was definitely not a dealbreaker. Lovely stay and great accommodations!

Great family getaway.
Very nice cabin, with plenty of room to congregate or have your own space. Nice up to date appliances, and the hot tub and pool table were great. Easy access from the road, and a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg. Super easy check in and check out, and great communication with the owners.

Family getaway
We loved the cabin. Had plenty of room for everyone. Played pool, watched the bears, they even came right across the front porch!! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals for the whole family each night. The huge walk In shower in the master bedroom with the chair in it was great for my 80 year old parents and everyone loved the mattresses. Couldn’t have ask for better owners to rent from either. Any questions we might have had they were very quick to respond. Am overall great experience.

Chalet was exactly as represented. All necessary amenties available. Thought we were not going to have opportunity to see bears and as we were getting into car to leave a Mother bear and her 3 cubs strolled by to bid us farewell. Was simply precious. Had some difficulty with reservations from VRBO but as soon as owner, Stephan, was made aware he was immediately responsive and corrected issue. Great location to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Private and peaceful. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Bears, bears everywhere
We had a family group of eight stay at this property. There is plenty of room to come together; but, also room for quiet time. The house is clean. Plenty of parking for four cars. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. There are 3 different outdoor spaces that are good for safe bear watching. Watch for the mother bear and her cute triplets.
