We stayed in the Castle room, it was nice, but if you are not accustomed to traffic noise, be advised the Honeymoon room and the Castle room face the front of the house which is on a main highway and busy until midnight.

The inn keeper is awesome. She accommodates the client's needs, especially breakfast, (I am a diabetic) and have mobility issues. She was on top of it, also is is a great conversationalist.

Enjoyable stay
Twenty minutes from the historical site of Gettysburg, Amberson House was a great place to stay where each room is unique and the full house is open to enjoy. Each morning the host provides a delicious breakfast and can share knowledge on the surrounding area (Waynesboro, Gettysburg, Appalachian Trail, . . . ) to help you plan your day. Nice back porch and yard, library, sitting rooms, tea and coffee always available. The only thing that wasn’t a 10 was the size of the bathroom of the Magnolia Room. Hard to maneuver.

Just Awesome!
Amanda was an awesome in-keeper and suggested an amazing place to eat dinner, that we would have never found on our own. Breakfast was delicious and the room did not disappoint. Our first bed and breakfast experience was so enjoyable thanks to the Amberson House!

Excellent Historical Site stay
This Bed & Breakfast was the best stay we have experienced. Amanda is an exceptional hostess, great cook and her personality wS a great start to our day. She gave us great advise on local eateries. She tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible and communicated with us prior to check in. The themed room we reserved (The Castle) was more than we expected and was warm and charming. The different sites we wanted to go to was easy to get to. We were within walking distance of the downtown shops. The house is old and cozy.

It was amazing! Amanda the Inn Keeper was super accommodating and friendly. The rooms all have a different theme. The area has several restaurants within walking distance. My friends and I stayed there for a wedding. I would definitely go back. ❤️

What a gem!
It’s so tempting to not leave a review on this gem because I want to be selfish and make sure it’s ALWAYS available to me when I’m in the area, but I won’t do that because The Amberson House Bed & Breakfast certainly deserves a great review. The house in itself is a gem, and we absolutely loved how the main areas have been kept to the time the house would have been built. It’s comfortable, it’s historic, it’s clean. My husband and I have now stayed in both the Castle room and the Out of Africa room. We’ve adored both and each has something different to offer. They’ve both been clean and extremely comfortable and peaceful. The inn keeper, Amanda, completes the whole package for a stay at The Amberson. Everything from a delicious breakfast chef to just a fantastic personality. We will be back again and again.

This property is everything you hope for in a Bed and Breakfast. Great location, beautiful building and room, and a wonderful host. Plus, a great breakfast. Went one weekend and enjoyed it so much came back the next weekend on our return trip.

Everything about this property was perfect on a wonderful spring day. So much so we are returning this weekend on our return trip to stay again. Amanda the host took care of everything and also made a wonderful breakfast. It was a great experience. Didn't walk around much or see the main street the property is on, but it looks interesting.
