This hotel could be fantastic, but there are some issues that significantly detracted from my stay. The "laptop work area" is a joke - it's a pull-out shelf on the bedside table. There is no chair, only a slightly wobbly stool. But even worse than any of that, the lights in the room are on a motion sensor and they automatically turn off after some 15 or so minutes. Sitting and working on a laptop, or sitting in bed working on a laptop or watching TV, does not provide enough movement to keep the lights on. When I asked the front desk if there is anything they can do to change the settings during my stay, I was told no. I stayed at this hotel for two weeks, and chose it specifically because I needed the ability to work on my laptop, so this was a very significant problem for me, and prevented me from doing work while I was there. There is an issue with the shower's seal - I never bothered figuring out the exact cause, but I think the lack of seal at the bottom of the door allowed water to run off the edge, which got on the carpet. This meant the carpet by the corner of the shower was soaked with water for most of my stay, despite trying a few different ways of setting a towel in the corner to absorb the water before it could reach the carpet. I can only imagine what kind of mold issues this would cause over time. The water would also sometimes run into the edge of the toilet area.

This hotel would be fine for a day or two. My husband and I stayed for 14 days. The room was just too small for that long of a duration. But it was quiet and the blackout curtains help so it was very dark and we slept well.

This hotel is all style over substance. The lighting in the room was really poor, no light near the full length mirror and the automatic shut off of the lights if it doesn't detect motion is really frustrating. I appreciate the need for sustainable methods but it'd be great to have the option to allow the lights to remain on when you're reading in bed for example or have the motion sensor near the need so you don't have to get up and out of bed to turn the lights on. My room also hasn't been cleaned properly by the side of the bed, there was some debris left from the previous guest and it was quite dusty on places. They also weren't able to look after bags at checkout and simply directed us to the station for their storage but were not willing to compensate for the charges we would incur there. I wouldn't stay here again.

Staff members tried to randomly force their way into my room saying they could smell burning. I had just had a shower and wasn't dressed, if I hadn't put the second lock on the door thats how they would have found me. Check out was painful, beds are uncomfortable, rooms are small. Plus sides, hotel is clean and modern.

I'll stay here again
I was there for the Worlds Pipe Band Championships, always a busy time of year in Glasgow. My room was ready, clean Serviced very day (a bit of a change since COVID) Coming from LA there were time zone differences I sure appreciated the nice blackout shades. I will be back.

Decent hotel next to central station
The hotel location is perfect. Just two minute walk to station. Room condition was okay. I can hear some noise from other rooms. No on-site parking. We werent able to keep luggage in reception that day :(
