Traveling with two parakeets in a cage vectored us onto the first floor with car alarms just outside the window in the alley, a barking dog, and revelers returning after bar closing. Two towel racks were broken from the walls. It might be nice when they finish revovating the restaurant and lounge.

The pictures online made it look like it was nicely renovated, but it was a different story once we arrived. The laminate floor was bubbling and lifting, the “desk” had a broken leg, the curtains weren’t long enough to black out the room, the bed frames are metal so every time you bumped it with your leg or foot it made a horrible noise. The bathroom was dirty, long dark hair all over the floor. Breakfast was a pre-packaged donut. I understand that you get what you pay for, but for almost 200$, this was awful.

If you're just looking for a place to sleep and take a shower, then this is an appropriate place. They have a parking lot underneath. The front desk lady was polite. They have a bag breakfast that we initially didn't like, but i appreciated the fruit and the maple long donut was surprisingly good when we ate it later in our trip. The room was renovated and was okay. One of the lights didn't even have a lightbulb in it. The bed was fine and we appreciated the mini fridge. However, the bathroom smelled like weed when we arrived. The window to the room was also opened when we arrived, so we think someone was trying to air out the place. The bath tub was full of stains, there were used toiletries at both the sink and on top of the towels in the bathroom. There was unflushed poop in the toilet and so many curly beard shavings all over the sink. Gross!!! It's like they just cleaned the bedroom and forgot about the bathroom or someone used it while on their shift.

Honestly I don't understand all the super negative reviews of this place. Our room and bathroom seemed newly renovated with nice furniture, clean towels and bedding, etc. This was actually the cleanest and most comfortable hotel we stayed at during our Montana/Wyoming/south Dakota trip on a budget. No issues with feeling unsafe nor with loud guests like other reviews mention, perhaps those reviewers have never been to a bigger city or something. The only issues really were that we were only given one towel, and the toilet and AC were loud. Plus breakfast left a lot to be desired--it was just a grab and go bag which was mostly stuff I couldn't eat as I'm vegan. Seems unnecessarily wasteful. Overall I'd recommend it if you're looking for a basic but nice and comfortable place.

Can see right through the bedsheets the stains on the mattresses floor was sticky and I wiped all the cobwebs out of the top of the window frames and they had been there a while. Lost my wedding ring in the room phoned to speak to the staff, and they were not very helpful at all. Didn’t seem like they cared.

Not the best.
Here are a few points that made my review low. - Toilet was running and would flush roughly every hour, so over night, it would wake me up - The neighbourhood was not the safest - The bed was small and hard - I was on a pet floor (even though I did not have a pet) and I heard dogs barking late in the evening - Around 4am, I heard the train which is not the hotel's fault, but they could have better sound insulation barriers to block that noise.

Here’s the breakdown for future customers. The room was very clean. Yay! 5 stars The common areas average clean. 3.5 stars The elevator, horrendous. Zero stars It was so bad that we were taking the steps to the 4th floor (which was also very dirty but at least the air was clean. I was leaving the elevator hacking and coughing because the odor was terrible but mainly the ventilation was CAKED with a very heavy coating of dust. I asked if staff could have that cleaned and the staff said that they could not touch it because it was in the elevator. I highly recommend cleaning that ventilation system. It has never been cleaned in my assessment (I clean HVAC systems for a living).
