Simple but good enough. For this price in Waikiki, don't expect luxuries such as a table and chair. It's just a place to sleep. Good location, fair value for money for this area.

It’s a good decent hotel for someone with a budget. It’s 2 minutes from the beach. Near a ABC. Maids always keep the place cleans. People are nice. Always go there when i visit family from hawaii

Overall it was a great stay. The staff were nice and accommodating to our questions and needs as well as providing the necessary room service. The area outside the hotel was a bit dirty due to construction happening right next to the hotel. But again overall the stay hotel was great.

Know what to expect!
I had a good idea of this hotel from reading all the reviews which were mostly correct. Would have prob been little dissapointed had I not. I had no problems with staff; mostly pleasant and helpful. Room is smallish (queen bed/just a matress). A/C is through-the-wall window type unit located less than 3 feet next to the side of the bed. Cooled well, not too noisy. Small screen tv, reasonable amount of cable channels. Old style "basic needs" bathroom. Overall: nothing upscale, nice employees, a block away from the beach and busy tourist walking attractions.

The property was convenient to surrounding tourist area(s), and although the property was dated, the room was pretty clean and comfortable. However, duing my stay, there was no ice bucket in my room. When I checked with the receptionist, I was given an unused plastic can liner to use for ice. Further, I had food delivered to my room, but there was no plastic ware included. While this is NOT the fault of the hotel, I did go again to the receptionist for assistance and asked it they had any eating utensils, at which time I was told, "...we usually do, but we haven't reordered any recently. " The property could be a very nice experience, if not for the lack of the small things that make a HUGE difference regarding service.

There are several pros and cons to staying at Stay Hotel. Pros: Excellent location one block from the Duke statue in Waikiki. Conveniently located near the beach, shopping and restaurants. The hotel has beach towels, chairs, Boogie Boards to borrow at no charge. They have snacks, coffee and filtered water available at no charge. The staff is friendly. Cons: This is bare bones accomodations, basically just to sleep...the equivalent of a simple motel room. Parking is expensive ($45 a day) and VERY limited (around 10 stalls). My family and I enjoy staying here because of its price and location, but if you are looking for staying at a "fancy" place, this is not for you.

This hotel is located less than 5 minutes away (on foot) from Waikiki beach. It is very close to reasonably priced dining places, walking distance to 2 shopping malls, and to trolley stops if you are taking the Waikiki trolley. It is an old building so you cannot expect all the finest amenities. You can say it is pretty basic but considering the amount you pay per night compared to other hotels and properties in the area, this is a steal. If you are looking for higher end amenities and are willing to pay a few thousands more then this may not be the one for you. To visit Hawaii is not cheap and to find a hotel at this location at that price is a huge deal. Parking is limited so that is one thing to consider. The hotel staff are all very nice and friendly. I love the coffee station at the lobby which is open from 5am till 7pm. The karaoke bar on the main flood makes a bit of a noise sometimes but this for me was very tolerable considering we were just on the 2nd floor and we stayed for 4 nights. Overall it was a great experience. Would considering staying at this place again.

Way too many extra fees that I HAD to pay, wasn’t given a choice even though it was just for beach equipment that I only used for one day out of the 5 nights I stayed. Parking fee was also an extra cost. On top of the seemingly absent parking access around the area. Internet in the room was shotty and kept going in and out of service. Condo rooms only have one queen bed and one sofa bed but says it sleeps 4 people, when only 3 can fit on the queen bed and one on the sofa bed. Friendly customer service though, that’s about all the good this place has.
