We were checking out at 4.45am to get a flight home. The unfriendly staff member on checking out appeared to really not want to be there and just invoiced us for a breakfast we never got and did not mention it or that she was charging our card that was on file. Just processed it and gave us the your done now! So we assumed it was all sorted with no issues as we were just handing the keys back. We checked the invoice at the airport and noticed the additional charge. We called the hotel immediately and were told they would look into it and get back to us. We explained that we were about to board a plane in the next 2 hours but please leave a voicemail and we will return the call ASAP, but after 5 days still no response. We have sending the emails about it too with no response. The check in staff were lovely and would rate him a 10 out of 5. But the whole check out process and follow up since has left a very sour taste and we will not stay here again and would not recommend it to our family or friends.

The lobby and shops were lovely, but the room was very tired and uninviting. The carpets were old and dirty, the furniture/bathroom was tired and the bedding was sad - just a sheet wrapped around a thin fleece blanket.

I love the pool area. We had a beach view and that was nice. We stayed in the older section as we were trying to conserve money where we could. I did not like the parking garage. You can park next door at the plaza for half the price and it’s significantly better parking. There is a sky bridge on the second floor that takes you to the second level of the shopping plaza. There is also a phenomenal restaurant on the top floor that has a really good happy hour 4-6. Food there is amazing. It’s close enough to the beach to walk over. I would stay here again.

It was our second time staying at Ala Moana hotel and it didn't disappoint us. With its perfect location, impeccable housekeeping service, helpful and friendly staff and authentic atmosphere it was the perfect choice. Not to mention that far cheaper than the similar category Waīkīkī hotels (including parking fee). The only minor inconvenience was that the laundry facility on the thirteenth floor was out of service during our entire stay, only two machines were available on the sixth floor.

Me and my girlfriend stayed in the Ala Moana for a whole week straight, it was amazing! The room service was always quick and on time and very thoughtful, the breakfast buffet was amazing and fresh, and the staff was super helpful and friendly!:))
