The bed was sloping to the left, so the matrass was not flat it was worn badly on the edge, The air co unit was switching on and off and it was very noisy, very hard to sleep. Very disappointing overall.

To start off, staff was absolutely amazing. Super friendly and helpful in from the front desk to the valet to the housekeeping staff. We were super appreciative of that because it made my parents' first time in Hawaii feel very welcoming. With that said, the hotel itself is older. Obviously there are some aspects that can't be helped due to being an older hotel. Walls were very thin. However, what made this an average rating was definitely the cleanliness. The carpets felt sticky from day 1 with stains visible and we ended up just wearing shoes/slippers throughout our stay. The bathroom also felt dirty and grimy in certain spots and we even found someone's old toothbrush in the vase on the counter. There were also stains on the walls in the bathroom by the toilet which made the experience feel even more grimy. Another unfortunate event was that there was a festival on the main street that blocked off the entrance to the parking. There were signs in the hotel stating that the one-way street leading to parking would be a two-way street. However, when we tried to park, there were no signs to indicate that and thus, no way for anyone to know and let us enter this one way street. We wasted an hour trying to find a way in before they finally put up cones to direct traffic, which allowed us to squeeze in to park. With that said, the location was everything. It's right in the middle with easy access to the beach. We got a good deal but you also get what you pay for.

Check in staff not friendly or organized. Asked for water from the case sitting behind him, he fiddled for a minute and then said they weren’t for guest. Paid for ocean view, we could see the ocean but over a rooftop with the AC units. Was too loud to ever sit on our patio. The mattress was the hardest mattress I have ever slept on. My whole body hurt every morning. Both pillows were hard, one was lumpy. I do not recommend this hotel.

I had made a mistake and thought I booked the oceanfront Outrigger property but after they let me know I was at the wrong location, I made my way to the Beachcomber. We were welcomed in by the valet and the front desk with smiles and felt very good after a long day of flying. We loved the pool and hot tub area as well. There is a Maui Brewing Co attached to this hotel and they have live music and fantastic burgers! Our room was clean and quite with a nice balcony that welcomed wild parrots! It was so cool having parrots hanging out with us outside. I would def stay here again!

We loved the pool, grills and the firepits. The only con were the flying bugs in the room. Once we closed the windows, it was fine.

Property still undergoing renovation but pool and spa area extremely small for size of hotel. On site dining options are minimal and just ok. Property is centrally located though and walking distance to just about everything.

Can't blame the Hotel...
My first day of arrival was quite nice because the hostess Kristina was very nice to take the time to find out if my room was ready or not. The only big issue I have, I'm hoping that people can read this and understand, are the neighbors smoking pot, which led the smell into my room and causing me a headache. I'm on vacation too and people need to understand that with all the rooms in close proximity, please have some consideration, or be smart enough to know it's illegal. I don't care if you smoke pot but go elsewhere and let the rest of us enjoy a nice clean air environment. The hostess asked if I wanted to change room but I didn't take up on the offer. I simply told her that if they were to smoke pot again on the third night, I would call security right away.

Was supposed to have a partial ocean view. I couldn’t view the ocean at all. Hotel is terribly outdated. Two lights/lamps in the room weren’t operating. There was a layer of dust on the ornate wood structure as well as dust on the outdated wall art. Several of the bath towels were stained. At 8:30am, there was some type of drilling/construction occurring. Oftentimes, the floors in the lobby and elevator were wet (primed for a patron to slip/fall). I am not sure how this hotel was rated higher than 2.
