It is very relaxing place and close to a beautiful lake , the patio with lake view is amazing , the view was stunning , we also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. We will visit again.

Sadly hidden valley has seen better days. Having worked there in the 80's not much has changed. Meaning that whoever owns the hotel now is basically letting it go, no money has been put into amenities. The pool is filthy, the hot tub had brown foam on it. The building itself is old and worn-out. Far from its hay day. Rooms are tired, mattresses are worn, everything needs improvement including the restaurant. Sad food, barely edible, the restaurant needs some kind of ambiance. Please put some money into this place, the view is breathtaking, the location is perfect. Sad to see everything in such disrepair. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money.

Both of us are partially disabled. No elevator so couldn’t access the lower floor to indoor pool and outdoor amenities. Furniture old and sticky and chairs had leatherette almost completely peeled off. Tub needs new surface. Previous paint surface peeling off. Only had a Kurig coffee maker. Not able to boil water. Toilet paper was “see through”Only one entrance so a long walk to room at the end of the hall. Entry was “decorated with fake grass with rocks and pine cones and twigs laying about. No complimentary continental breakfast. Did not dine there for any meals. Tv channel options minimal. It was definitely not a resort. Cleaning staff was very helpful in assisting with luggage upon arrival and leaving. He maintained a well kept room for us.

When we first arrived the reception seemed a bit overwhelmed. We had to wait till 3pm for the room to be clean. The room was clean but i joticed the sheets of bed was dirty. I requested to be change. It took couple hrs the main to bring them. The resort was good as view in back of lake. Was fun woth my kids. But limited days for us. Had activity for kids and adults. Was very realx place but the greatest. People and were too laoud in hallways every night. Nothing included for breakfast or dinner. Was a restaurant next to reception and the service was good from one of the waitress but it took 2 hrs to get the food. In general was a bit frustrated. So good luck to everyone.

This was a very friendly resort. 2 pools, a very nice hot tub. The private beach was cleaned every morning. It had 2 fire pits that were nice. Very convenient location to check out Algonquin park. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay, however, the dinner at your restaurant was horrible especially for the price. The shower water was ice cold when my spouse showered on Saturday morning, most likely due ti the high volume of people showering as there was a wedding reception that day at your hotel. Also, we did not get much sleep Friday night due to a bon fire, voices carried. Saturday night we could not get to sleep due to the loud music. DO NOT STAY HERE - our room was filthy, shower had slime and mold, blow dryer was about to fall off the wall, body lotion dispenser had caked on lotion from previous guests, deadbolt chain was broken, patio door was left unlocked, carpet was stained and dirty, furniture very shabby. Outdoor pool was closed for maintenance and no one seemed to know why or when it would reopen. I could go on. It was disgusting!!

Rooms are large and clean. Beds are comfortable. Yes, this property is in dire need of updating and maintenance, but it has a nice beach. No one uses the outdoor pool (it's cold) so you can have it all to yourself. We had good weather so it was a decent stay. The tennis courts are in ok shape. A bit concerned about the water sports offered. Pedal boats are broken; kayaks have missing seat supports and you sign your life away to use them. They supply life jackets but do NOT have mandatory safety kits. Good place for kids...you get what you pay for!

I visited and stayed at the Hidden Valley Resort with family for one night in August. I had booked a beach facing view room but was informed by the resort staff during checkin that the requested room was not available and they offered me a parking facing room. The property was fully booked for the weekend and they were unable to accommodate. I was advised to speak to Expedia about the issue and claim any reimbursement if any. I did speak to an Expedia agent post my trip and was suitably reimbursed. Con: There is no elevator(Lift) at the property. We were located on floor 3 and had to carry heavy luggage through stairs which was inconvenience. Room and property was clean. The room features a refrigerator and coffee machine. There is no microwave in the room but there is one publicly available on the ground floor (Floor 2) for use. Con: Washroom was out of liquid soap. On calling front desk, was advised to get soap bars as lately they were out of liquid soap. Pro: We requested a pack and play for our toddler late at night and we were duly obliged. Con: check in involved 15 min wait time as the property was fully booked and there was one person at concierge desk. Parking is free and plenty slots available on site. Price wise, the resort was okay, could have been more economical. Food and drinks could have been more reasonably priced especially for guests starting at the hotel.

The housekeeping for the rooms was great. The rest of the property was sad and in need of repairs. One person on the front desk in busy season made for a 55 minute check in. The staff was lovely but there weren’t enough of them. Had to move rooms because my window was broken and couldn’t be fixed. Expensive for subpar experience.

My experience was not good. Staff at the hotel were dishonest when I asked about why the indoor pool was closed. Each person at the front desk will give a different answer. My room the floor wasn't cleanned and moped when I could feel things when I was walking on the floor. The bathtub the paint was all off. There was no had sop. I don’t think is worth the price I paied. I will never go there. I will choose a different hotel or resort to stay. I rather pay more somewhere else where I can create a memory vs disappointment and dishonest staff.
