Bed had the springs coming through the mattress, it is the student accommodation and the noise was horrendous, also the staff need to look at the bin areas outside the accommodation as it's borderline for rats, add to that the mountain of cigarette ends outside Grouse and Osprey, it's pretty shabby.
It is as I say the student accommodation, but it's not particularly cheap to stay at, I've been using it since it opened and it's gradually declining. The rooms are actually great, but the beds are torturous, cheap thinly padded mattresses that are now well past their sell by date. Cleaning wise, I stay typically for 5 days, and you get one service of the room and towel exchange during that time.
Just don't stay thinking you are going to get an unbroken nights sleep, doors slam loudly, laminate flooring everywhere and the walls are paper thin. But, you get what you pay for, that does not excuse the lack of exterior cleaning, and the quality (or lack of it) of the mattress.
