Beautiful gardens & perfectly situated. Staff were friendly, warm & caring & efficient. Great pool, close to many great dining options & right on the beach. Took tours on two days that were well organised through the tour desk. Sunset from our room was stunning most nights. Would return in a heartbeat.

Be prepared to walk. A lot. Ten minutes to lobby, another ten minutes to parking lot. Staff wouldn't return your message asking for golf cart transportation though their promise to provide upon check in. Why message? Phone line is dead. Messaging is the only way to communicate with hotel staff. And they don't respond. Be prepared to walk and get pissed.

Guests are forced to download and install Paradox App on their personal smartphones to communicate for services in its chatting platform and really is for advertising their bar and restaurant promotion deals, and it is also the reason to substitute broken phones in rooms. However, there were times my requests were ignored and I had to personally walk to the hotel front office and convey service requests. The property is dated, not modern at all, but staffs are nice though. The property does not qualify a 5 star class hotel when comparing to competitors around the island.

A Slice of Phuket Paradise called Paradox
Gosh where do we start? This large property which reaches down to the Karon beach access is so perfectly located. Every amenity is within walking distance, pools, local markets, pharmacies, convenient stores, restaurants etc. The hotel is ONE with nature, an open concept allows birds to sing as you enter the Grand reception area. We had a private pool called the Coconut pool as it was a perk with private garden villas. Awww BUT it is the people that truly make this resort. Great value for money - gorgeous grounds
We stayed at paradox for a few night and extended our stay- which was handled seamlessly by staff so we didn’t need to move rooms. The staff are all so helpful, especially the manager, the ladies on reception, Bee on reception and also Tee at the lobby bar who was always so happy to see you and helpful. The pool and grounds are beautiful and the rooms are modern and spacious. The spa was also great- I had a fantastic 90 min massage (approx £40) with Khun MiMi (apologies if I am spelling wrong). You can hear the birds and it’s very relaxing. There’s a few areas like corridors/stairwells which are a bit tired looking bur really didn’t effect our stay. The food was fine (good veggie burger tho!) and a bit expensive (unless a set menu offer) and the mix drinks also expensive (around £9 glass of wine and £6/7 for imported spirit). A nice walk through the grounds takes you to the beach road too- it was perfectly placed for us. The only minor downside was the main pool is very shallow for swimming. There’s a deeper one but only for villa guests.

Will never stay at this facility again. Had to ask multiple times for our shower to be fixed so that it wouldn’t only spray out boiling water.. the plunge pool was never cleaned and had weeks worth of leaves and debris in it. The coffee cups and spoons had residue where you could tell they hadn’t been properly washed. Staff never had a clue what was going on at the front desk even though it’s slow season. Would barely give this “resort” 3 stars I don’t know who came up with it being 5. The breakfast buffet is the only thing that kept me somewhat sane
