We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel . I would recommend staying in one of the regal suites if you can. They are HUGE , beautifully furnished and overlook the lake . The grounds of this hotel are stunning . Unfortunately the restaurant and bar in the main building are only open when that part of the complex is full so we ate out in the garden which was still lovely. Though it was freezing cold , the fire pits close to the tables were a nice romantic touch and kept us warm. A great couple of days

The setting of the hotel is exceptional, despite having seen the photos posted, it far exceeded our expectation. The room was a good size, with a good bathroom, it's a heritage hotel, but well maintained with masses of character. The only slight complaint is that the mattresses were very "firm"! Fabulous walks through the grounds with all sorts of birds, including peacocks, plus a lot of black face monkeys and huge bats. There's also a large, impressive swimming pool. Dinner on the lawn in the outside restaurant is a must, the food is delicious and the service excellent. Please bear in mind it's not in the centre (but not very far out), you will need a taxi to get there.

Amazing- A real Palace
It was simply superb. It borders a lake and the views from the palace balcony of the lake and the surrounding hills are magnificent. By now we have stayed in quite a few palaces in rajasthan - the views and the annexing grounds of this one are the best. The palace grounds are vast, there are only 30 or so rooms in total, so there's a feeling of having the grounds all to yourself. Going from a city, the peace and tranquility this offered us was priceless. The restaurant has limited menu but all of the items we had were very tasty and very reasonably priced. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. There are horses that guests can use for a fee to take a ride around the grounds. There is a buggy to go around as well as cycles that are available for free. Overall- an amazing trip

Magical!
Were a mid 20s couple... This stay was amazing! When our tuk tuk driver pulled into the gated entrance I thought it must have been the wrong place! But it was huge I think over 60 acres. I really nice retreat from the bustle of the city. We had the best time exploring the grounds and getting up close with monkeys, peacocks and more. It was seriously magical. The service is outstanding too. We felt super pampered and the dinner outdoors at night by candle light was romantic, plus breakfast was excellent. The room has its own little backyard where you can wake up, sit and listen to the birds. One of the staff gave us a tour of the palace too, its amazing. Definitely recommend- if you can stay more than 1 night, do!

Enjoyed our stay and good value
Beautiful grounds , a bit disappointed in that we expected to be in the palace, not the old stables and had to pay extra to eat at the palace. Rooms were nicely appointed if a bit tired and beds a bit hard but nice outside seating area. However the staff in the restaurant were great, the food was good but almost exclusively indian except for breakfast. Pool was very cold and only 4 sunbeds.

Garden paradise in desert city
Beautifully manicured grounds, great for strolls, lakeside views are fantastic. During a morning stroll, you'll get to see monkeys, peacocks, polo horses (which you can ride for a fee), majestic banyan trees and many other native species. Rooms are charming. Unless you're splurging on a 'palace room' (which we had a peak at, essentially spacious apartments in the original haveli), you'll be in a room formed by the arches of the aqueduct that runs a long line through the property (and once used to be the water source to the city). These spaces used to be horse stables and are now hotel rooms, with rustic charm but well appointed. The food was great, particularly Kebab Korner, where we sat outdoors enjoying tandoori food while we warmed up next to an open fire. On a second trip, I would not mind coming back here and never leaving the premises!

Enjoyed the large beautiful grounds with trees, flowers and peacocks, always welcome in dusty Rajasthan / India. Palace Rooms (suites) are very spacious, though need modernization.

Secluded place
Good service and welcoming attitude. A bit away from the city which I think was nice. The outdoor dinner in the garden was also a plus. A bit outdated, but the charm of the place more than made up for that.

I stayed here for four nights. The garden rooms are spacious, clean and so comfy and cosy. The 60 acres of garden are exquisite. Bird life amazing. Loads of peacocks. Great staff. Fabulous big pool. Great sunset on lake. Loved my stay here. Highly recommend.

A fantastic hotel in a really wonderful setting
A fantastic hotel in a really wonderful setting. The staff, in particular the reception, were helpful and arranged a late check out although the hotel was due some VIP guests that evening that required red carpet and high security. We stayed in the palace and it was just that. Evening meals in the Kebab corner of the gardens with open braziers was so romantic. A really first class hotel

A beautiful hotel, a mediocre welcome
The hotel itself was stunning, and there was a lot that could be done just on its own grounds. It's a stunning oasis in Jodhpur. However, the service could be a bit better. When we arrived in the morning, the person at the counter didn't really greet us (though there were welcome drinks) and he only briefly explained about the property. We didn't know there were timings of certain things or how much things cost - I had to go back to the counter several times to ask for that. A book in the room explaining all this would solve that easily. The next time we went (we stayed 2 non-consecutive nights), the staff was much more courteous and welcoming. However, the room the 2nd night had no hot water. The wi-fi is fine, and the restaurants are good - even accommodating us with room service at midnight since we arrived so late on the train. The hotel did pick us up (with a sign with our name on it) at the train station, and arranged a driver to take us to the Fort and the airport on our last day. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL. And the rooms are really cute too. Very, very relaxing, especially for people with families.

The garden is amazing. You wake up to the sound of peacocks and birds. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have a very special feel.. they used to be horse stables!! It does not get more boutique than that!

Don't stay in garden room
Unless you are staying in the actual palace, this hotel is a 3 star at best. Grounds are beautiful, but the garden rooms (old stable rooms) are mediocre. Feels more like camping. The indoor restaurant is funky, and drinks are insanely expensive. Don't ask for a martini, they have no idea how to make one. Food was ok, but not 5 star quality by any means.

Terrible Experience
The hotel was unpleasant inspite of the beautiful surroundings. The hotel has two sections - palace with suites and the garden rooms. We were staying in the garden rooms and walked up to the palace for the view, which was great. However, we were told that only guests staying in the suites are welcome to have drinks or a meal in the palace restaurant. One hotel manager said we can get a beer however the restaurant manager refused to serve us. Then he agreed reluctantly but did not allow us to sit indoors!! Subsequently the front desk manager but was somewhat apologetic but we were not allowed to have dinner in the palace the next day... I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. The environs can not make up for the abysmal service.
