I will start by saying that I arrived shortly after Debby came through the area. When I arrived the power was out. I was greeted by the friendly bartender who checked me in. She stated numerous times that I would be given a FULL refund for my stay if the power didn't come back on that evening. She said usually the power only goes out for a couple hours, and they were expecting it to be back on later that afternoon/evening. We were able to make due with out lack of power (we are typically campers)... but when we woke up in the morning... we discovered they now had no water! Which is a sanitation concern-- no showers and no facilities. There was no staff on site to talk to, just a number to text... who said to expect a response on Monday (it was Saturday morning). There was also no continental breakfast as promised- not even items that didn't need refrigeration. We ended up leaving for a nearby motel who had power and water- so we could use the restroom and get on with our day of hiking in the surrounding area.
I've have since been given a 1/2 refund for my one night stay (full refund for the other night I was supposed to stay) despite being told I would be given a FULL refund by the staff.. I've reached out to the manager 4 different times and he has not returned any of my messages. I was only trying to follow up on the FULL refund I was promised. Very disappointed in the management.
