Really enjoyed my stay there. The staff were really helpful, especially when there was a problem with the shuttle to the airport. The room was nice and clean - a little on the basic side (no mini-bar, the hanging space was not in a cupboard, no iron, etc), but perfect for my needs. The only problem was the location - it was central and great for getting around Athens, but some of the side streets have drug addicts actually shooting up on the footpath in the middle of the day. I'd read reviews saying there were drug addicts around, but didn't realise I'd be walking past them actually injecting themselves! I guess that's more of an Athens' problem (that will affect many hotels) rather than a problem with the Dunhill and I still felt totally safe (they were sad/tired, not crazy/dangerous), but if you don't want to witness that, then steer clear of the side streets.

"Initially no one was available for check in. Breakfast is at a fairly distant cafe. The historic building is lovely but rooms are very much in need of updating and renovation. The photos are better than the reality."
