This was the worst hotel experience we have had in a long time. We asked for a first floor room due to an elderly pet, but were put on the second floor. The carpeting throughout the hotel was filthy. The breakfast sausage and gravy was less than lukewarm. There was no milk for cereal, and no cream for the coffee. The young girl responsible was sitting near the hotel entrance reading on her cellphone for almost thirty minutes, never checking if the food was okay. The hallways had a horrible smell from smoke and marijuana. A hotel employee had to spray the hallway. In our room, the chair seat was shredding, and a dresser had multiple holes on top. The faucet handle was so loose it almost came off. We frequent LaQuinta hotels because they are pet friendly, but we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

There were men walking without shirts inside the hotel, needs to improve the the variety of food in the breakfast. During the breakfast one guess has a discussion with the person that prepares the breakfast.

Upon arrival we were met by what appeared to be a crime scene. The entire front entrance was taped off in yellow tape which gave it the appearance of an active crime scene. I called the property and they told me to go around to the back entrance door to enter the property. Why didn't they have a sign up to that effect? Upon checking in I was told they would charge my credit card $100.00 deposit in case I damaged the property. Also told me that I would not get a receipt for my stay since I had already prepaid for the room. When we got to our room we discovered that the light over the bathroom vanity didn't work. The front desk told me they wouldn't have any maintenance people until the next morning. We struggled getting ready the next morning to go to the event that brought us to Lakeland. Since we were not getting a receipt for our room we returned our room key to the front desk "bowl for keys". Later we started getting texts from the hotel asking us when we were going to check out. That is our experience. We WILL NOT BE BACK EVER!

Awful smells bad, dirty, breakfast wasn’t kept up, no coffee creamer. Kids running up and down the halls at 1am. We tried to move rooms they said nothing else was open. We tired to get a refund but the person from hotels.com said he couldn’t find out reservation even with our booking # trust me we would have left if it wasn’t already paid for.

Expedia screwed up my reservation at this property so me and 4 kids had know where to stay😡😡so we had to sleep in car in the parking lot. When I booked the room with EXPEDIA they emailed me my confirmation number but when I got to the hotel to check in my confirmation was not in there system and they had NO room for us November 9 ck out 10th 2024 Very disappointed with Expedia 😡😡😡

The bed was VERY comfortable and the room was clean. Other than some new (flat) paint needed in the halls a very nice hotel. I was super impressed with the new online check-in the day before I arrived. I was NOT super impressed on having to answer the same questions when I showed up to check-in. But the staff was friendly and apologized for the inconvenience. I WOULD DEFINITELY stay there again

The hallways and elevator smelled like marijuana. I was parked by the pool after we checked out i was loading my stuff in my truck and a drug deal went on in the pool area. They (three guys) one guy which was on the elevator with us as we were leaving when into the pool area where 2 other guys were at and handed one of the two guys a bag of weed. I seen it and my husband seen it take place too. The 2 guts were sitting out by the pool smoking a joint. The smell was very strong. The guys looked our way and smiled and kept smoking the joint. By the time i had everything loaded up and got in my truck it smelled like marijuana. Not cool. Rspecially if i would of got pulled over they would of searched my truck because of the smell from the 3 guys. I thougjt it was a smoke free property. Will not be back. The lady that checked me in that night was awesome.

The room smells bad, very cheap beds and bedding, pillows too, looks like the just did a quick cleaning after the last guess, do not recommend to stay at this hotel unless that you are staying for only one night like we did thank God, the front desk people don’t even bother to look a you when you’re talking to them and specially if you’re asking for directions.
