Gene and his lovely wife are wonderful hosts'! They truly treat you as a friend or even family member. The house is well set up, with the 1st floor very cozy and welcoming. The rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable, although very 'squeaky'! The house is VERY old - chronologically - so it is not surprising that the floors and doors squeak. I would hate to be a teenager trying to sneak in after a late night!! HA HA.
Keeping in mind this is Lancaster area, and the need for 'the outside world' is not always desired, the room does not have a TV or radio, but there is one in the living room. Also the bathroom, at least in the Sonata & Allegro rooms, were essentially converted closets. The shower is tight, but there certainly is plenty of hot water...oh, and the towels were SUPER soft!!
Finally, the 'family style' breakfast was both delicious and VERY filling.
