We absolutely loved the Berjaya Langawi. We love animals, and there were so many dusky leaf monkey troops, hornbills, sweet macaque monkeys, flying lemurs etc. Beyond that, the grounds were beautiful, swimming pool was a perfect temperature, restaurants were great. We were very sad to leave.

Beautiful hotel set in the rainforest
A beautiful beachfront hotel set in the rainforest which is very close to the Oriental Village. I had a few issues with my room, which were dealt with swiftly and professionally by management. My room was upgraded to a waterfront view which had a huge room with a spacious bathroom and a stunning view. I cannot fault the service provided, the manager was extremely kind and had our room decorated as an anniversary surprise. The breakfast was excellent with a vast range of foods and various fruit juices to choose from. I would highly recommend staying here for a unique experience.

What an amazing place. Beautiful setting, super helpful staff who were all polite and ready to help. Pool was beautiful and private beach was lovely with amazing views of rainforest/mountain and amazing sunset. Food options were great and the view from the Thai restaurant was amazing. My wife loves the spa. We had a spider in our room one night and the security man who turned up to help was great and managed to catch it. We stayed in the rainforest chalet, could maybe do with a bit of a touch up but you’re staying in a rainforest so more than makes up for it.

What I like most is the friendliness of the staffs. I would have given 10 stars if there is an option. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. I book the sea view chalet at the resort. Heavy rain on my first night stay and my room had water leakage issue. Called guest service and they upgrade us to premier chalet on water for free. The only feedback I can give is trams service can be better. Sometime need to wait 10-15mins for trams to reach my chalet. Overall my family have wonderful time there.

The resort is vast and a complimentary shuttle bus service is needed between locations. The facilities and staff are first class. I thoroughly enjoyed my week long stay in a Rainforest chalet. I saw lots of native wildlife whilst there. I would recommend this resort to anyone visiting Langkawi.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Langkawi trip and wished we stayed longer. Whilst the rooms may be somewhat dated for a 5*, the customer service at this hotel is exceptional. After checkin they got in touch by WhatsApp to let us know they were available for any assistance 24’7. The facilities were nice, the staff were extremely polite and attentive. It was a real bonus seeing monkeys around the resort, (wish they had come to our balcony!) We didn’t have to wait long for a buggy and didn’t experience queues at breakfast. We opted for half board, there were loads of food options which we liked. On checkout I had left something in the room and they got in touch to let me know within in hour or so, thankfully I had a friend that was able to pick up the item.

Beautiful resort nestled in rainforest environment
We stayed in a Premier Seaview Chalet (1233) during the first week of May, so certainly not as busy as previous reviews indicate. It was hot and humid though and it took a few days to acclimatise. Thankfully the air conditioning in our chalet was very good and we loved the free mini bar, replenished daily. Great variety for breakfast at both restaurants. First morning we tried the Brassiere (beachfront). Its quieter there and the food is very good with great views, but it was a little too humid and sunny for us, so the next 3 mornings we went up to the main building. The food and selections were even better and the tables a bit more protected from the heat. Nisa made the best combination omelettes. There were 2 egg stations, so no queues. Yes it gets a little bit busier around 9am, but not overly so. I loved the 3 pools (varying depths), especially the jacuzzi and the main pool. It was good to have some shade options at the swim up bar, under the waterfall and under the bridge but also enough sunny spots if you want that.The gym was very good and the Thai Restaurant on the water was excellent. Sadly didn't try the others but should have. Staff were all lovely and the shuttles were surprisingly quick to respond in order to get around this extensive resort. Many of the chalets are nestled in the rainforest or close to, so be mindful of the mosquitos etc (if susceptible). I was grateful for the insect spray etc supplied in the room. I would definitely recommend this resort.
