Unhappy trip

We called and requested an ADA room due to recent surgery. It was $30 for this and $40 for that. There was no safety bars anywhere in the room, especially in the shower. Toilet was low enough for a small child, not a normal sized person. We had a difficult time getting hot water in the shower and had a construction worker tell us our room was on the side where the pipes were installed reversed. We live close by and the Golden Nugget is our get away place to stay. Was very disapppointed with this time. We ate at all of the restaurants with food and service being great!

What didn't i like.... i disliked the fact we couldn't check in until after 4pm UNLESS we paid more (thank goodness we didn't) the room was soooo old and unsightly! The bathroom was in really bad shape, our tv. Didn't work, the air conditioner/heater was sooo loud we could barely sleep. The water pressure was almost non existent... honestly i was extremely disappointed.... i thought "Golden Nugget" was a high end hotel- nope not even close!

Check in was ok. I understand I checked in on christmas eve and no one wants to work those days. I also had to work and thats why I was there. There was no issues but felt like I was making a transaction at the Motor Vehicle Department. I am not complaining but felt awkward because I was in a great upbeat mood and the encounter was dry.

Laughlin GN visit 1-7/8-2025

The room was clean and up to date. Did not like paying a $17/day resort fee and then discovering all the Hotel Ice Machines were turned off and had a sign saying, "For Ice Call Vallet and pay a $5-7 fee". We did not have any pets with us but were placed in a pet friendly area of the hotel (we were not asked or notified of this) and had deal with dogs barking in nearby rooms and left to wonder if our room was flea infested from the pets of prior guests. Not likely to book another room at the Gold Nugget Laughlin in the near future.

If you want to be treated fairly don't stay here.

Really tired of the "well, you booked thru a 3rd party". If you want to treat your guests well don't say that. People Book how they book. For those traveling, we do the best we are able. And the poor treatment we get? We're unlikely to book through your website directly. The room was OLD. The plumbing was POOR. (clogged drains in both the sink and tub) which equals disgusting if you're trying to shower...Staff was punative about having a certified service animal. Punishing tone of voice. No way to treat a customer.
