La Quinta Inn at Tucumcari, N.M.
The overall stay was good. The motel was very clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was not very good. They were out of scrambled eggs and coffee. Had to wait about fifteen minutes to get both eggs and coffee. The elevator for the rooms was slow with lots of traffic from people using it to go up to the rooms.

Honestly for a 2.5 star hotel this was cleaner than most 3/4 star hotels I’ve stayed at. So it was nice. I recommend it. Breakfast was delicious too.

It is a filthy dog friendly hotel. I had interaction worth at least a dozen dogs during my stay. From barking at is in the elevator to peeing on the carpet! The stairwell smelled of feces. I have a dog and a cat so I’m not anti animals. But I think there’s a place for animals.

This property was within walking distance to a few fast food places and gas stations. It was easy off wasy on I 40. The rooms were clean. I don't care for a pillow top mattress. Plus the bed was tall. I didn't mind (I'm 5' 9") but my mother is 5' 3" and 85 years old...it was difficult getting into the bed.

Bed sheets put on inside out - made me feel like they had not been washed or replaced between guests. Pillows very dirty and pillow cases not clean. I ended leaving at 4am as I couldnt sleep. No one was at the front desk to talk to about these issues when I left
