The hotel itself is great! Staff was amazing. The location is right next to a hospital. Due to the homeless being so bad in La, the area seemed dangerous due to so much homeless.

HORRIBLE reflection on Hotels.com
AWFUL. Room smelled musty, unclean, and wreaked of cigarettes on day of check-in. They gave me THE WORST ROOM after I paid in advance. My room was on 2nd floor. The people in room above my room had kids who were disturbing me by jumping off the bed, dropping heavy objects, screaming, and running all around the room, stomping, just keeping up all kinds of noise. I was awakened by these same kids at 2AM running up and down the hall and talking loud on my 2nd day of stay. I reported MULTIPLE TIMES to hotel manager. HE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AND SAID NOT HIS RESPONSIBILITY AND GAVE ME A FAKE EMAIL TO HIS BOSS AND SAID TO EMAIL HIS BOSS WITH CIMPLAINTS. HE NEVER WENT TO 3RD FLOOR TO INVESTIAGE. NO HOT WATER. I reported no hot water to Hotes.com. Super Gerard said hotel manager promised to put me in another room. Manager never changed me to another room. Oh. And the soap dispenser fell off the wall in bathroom. HOTELS.COM, IMMEDICATELY REFUND MY BILL. Hotel manager has no people-skills and does not take responsibility for anything that happens at hotel and rents to anybody if they have money. This manager never does the right thing. No integrity. No ethics.

ERTH DIRT
The hotel manager is the ABSOLUTE WORST PART of this hotel. He does not follow up on any issues reported. There was situation with a man screaming at the top of his voice, raging and ranting and cussing, total melt-down. Very unsettling. The manager does not address noise-disturbances. EVEN WORSE IS THAT HOTELS.COM DOES NOT INVESTIGATE OR CARE HOW HOTELS (MIS) TREAT ITS CUSTOMERS. Hotels.com supervisors do everything to avoid customers. NO ACCOUNTABILITY AT ALL LEVELS.

The property is at a convenient location and is close to food options, gas stations, busses, and 7-Eleven. The staff is friendly and it has free parking. The only reason why this isn’t 5 stars for me is because if you ask for a “non-smoking” room you can potentially still get a “smoking room.” During two of my bookings, I specifically asked for a “nonsmoking” room and both times my room smelled very much like weed. I asked to be moved and there were no available rooms, so I had no choice but to ask for a refund and went elsewhere.

NOTHING LIKE PICTURES
Room was not cleaned and smelled very musty on day of check-in on Sunday, 3/3/2024. Reported to Front Desk after entering the room. The room still smelled like prior guest and wreaked of musty odor. No follow-up. FINALLY, the hotel manager says he'll have staff clean on Wednesday, after the fact and after I've already been in room for 4 days. I also found a bedbug in the bed on Friday. ROOMS ARE NOT CLEANED. Hotel manager does not believe it is his responsibility to ensure rooms are cleaned before guests arrive. I told this hotel manager that I pay to stay here and expect a clean room. This hotel manager argued with me and made excuses about sign on door and cleaning staff not being able to clean room. I told this hotel manager that the room should have been clean on check-in day. HOTELS.COM, I REQUEST FULL REFUND.

A hotel you'd stay at if you have business in the area. Streets are generally not safe if you're walking around with a laptop, etc. Anecdotally from people that work in the area... They don't go out, if they eat out it's only across the street and back to the office. No fault of the hotel itself, its just the area.

This property is so worth the money they charge. Walkable distance from many food spots and for me my site of work. Hope they upkeep the renovations.
