We had an amazing time at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. The views were fantastic, the food was delicious, the staff was so courteous and attentive. We could not have asked for a better vacation destination!!! We will most definitely be coming back.

My husband and I stayed at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach for our baby moon. Everyone was very friendly and various dinner options. There are golf carts available to take you to room, pool, restaurants, lobby etc. It’s not easily walkable to many places. There’s a free shuttle provided to/from the hotel to it’s sister hotel Pueblo Bonito Rosé located downtown area closer to the beach. It was a great stay to just relax.

I had a great time, the staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was my room had a musty smell and the beds were too firm for my liking, other than that my family and I had a great time. We will definitely be coming back.

The resort is nice, but it's pretty unorganized and overwhelmingly massive. You could live here for six months and probably still not know where everything is or what all is going on, and that makes it harder to take advantage of your time here. The worst part by a mile is the golf cart shuttle system. The resort is essentially unwalkable and you have to call golf carts to pick you up / take you anywhere. Sometimes they actually come, other times they don't show and you're suddenly late for dinner, a flight, etc. You also feel obligated to tip the drivers, even though there's no other way to get around, so carry some pesos on you. You can get stuck somewhere after dinner for 30 minutes if it's late or busy. Maid service was hit or miss too on if they actually filled your request. There was dry blood on our bathroom floor when we arrived that we called about probably three times. You are also not getting a chair at any of the pools if you show up after 11am. The staff will try to upsell you on a ton of excursions/promotions in a way that is off-putting (sometimes during your meal). The dinner restaurants/options are plentiful, but the food is average at best - typical of most other all-inclusive. The nicest pool that they have (sky pool) was closed almost every day for a wedding, this was not communicated ahead of time or at the beginning of the stay.

Everything about this resort was complicated, e.g. if you want to take the shuttle to the sister resort you must call & schedule your ride but you cannot schedule your return trip at the same time, you must wait until you get to your destination. The resort does not support dietary restrictions at all. I am gluten free & the food did not have allergens properly labeled on menus or signs at the buffet. The food overall was subpar & every restaurant had items that were only available at additional costs. We were constantly having to scan our wristbands to clear our charges. The resort is not walkable as the walkways/roads are incredibly steep so you must use the golf carts. The resort app is horrible & incredibly not user friendly. They are constantly trying to up-sell you & talk you into buying a time share (they call it something else). No one really explained to my parents how their wristband works or how are up charges worked, etc.

Room was dirty and dated. There was a huge hole in screen door so bugs are keep coming into the room. Staffs from most or restaurant are very unfriendly. They ruined most of my meal time. All of Staffs were trying to sell some type of service to collect commission. They charged weird on without asking and just send invoice via email. They said it is some type of donation. Even though it was not a big amount, they should ask it to customer before they charged it. I won’t come back to this resort and never recommend it to anyone.

We were told by the sales guy (do not recommend) giving pitch to sell shares of the property that we were victims and trespassers for not being members. This largely / negatively influenced our experience
