Mai Chau is an excellent place for a holiday, however, accommodation in in the town centre is extremely limited. You'll definitely have an easier time finding somewhere to stay at any of the 2 options within 10 kilometres.

If you want to stay as close as possible to the main areas, the Mai Chau Ecolodge and Mai Chau Lodge are top choices.

If watching sport gives you an adrenaline buzz, go to My Dinh National Stadium. It's located to the northeast of Mai Chau. To hit the hay nearby, book a room at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi or the Grand Plaza Hanoi Hotel.

It is rather hard to get to Mai Chau but we think it is worth a visit. Staff is really friendly and nice but their English is not that good so google translate was a great help. Place is charming, comfortable but a bit basic.. The scenery is breathtaking and they lend you bicycle for a ride…which we did! It was hard work but SO so worth it! The pool is very handy and cold (for a change) so just the ticket when it is so hot! ‘The breakfast is a bit basic but it’s in a very remote area. Not for everyone but a really lovely spot. Will remember the lovely staff and the magical scenery!
