Love staying at the shangri la. Only notes are - The shower in the room had a pile of women’s hair on the wall, and the steam room at the wellness club smells moldy. Otherwise great stay - the front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful during check in

Carpet inside room was filthy. Booked thru Expedia so not sure if they give the janky rooms to third party reservations. Room smelled like varnish. Asked for a different soon since we’re traveling with an infant and the front desk was very apologetic and changed our rooms. 2nd room carpet was bad as well, but better. Hotel is dated and old. Not worth going back there.

My husband and I were treated very warmly by the staff at the Makati Shangri-la and appreciated their hospitality and lovely treats prepared in celebration of our wedding anniversary. Our room was extremely comfortable and the design quite beautiful. The afternoon tea was enjoyable as well as the abundant breakfast buffet. We did find the sorbets too sweet, however, and would suggest that the sugar content be lessened. Also, homemade yogurt would be a better and healthier option at breakfast rather than the store-bought yogurts. Nevertheless, we loved our overall experience and plan to return again.

I liked the view from our room. Everybody was friendly. They even gave us a free roller bed because there were three of us in the room. The breakfast buffet food at Circle Cafe was delicious. The only suggestion is to put more toilet paper rolls in the room and if possible install newer sink handles and shower handles for more convenience. Overall, the experience was great.

Nothing to say more than excellent stay and on next time I would take Edsa Shangri - La for a different atmosphere of style. One thing I noticed breakfast food selection was not even half better than Sofitel. We where there last year with my wife it was more than excellent compared to Shangri - La. Agoda too was excellent close to Sofitel. Hopefully by next year there will be a difference set of food selection. Thank you

The staff is wonderful.The hotel car was waiting for us at terminal 4 and got us to the hotel quickly. The check in at the hotel was smooth and easy. At the front desk Sir Sonny and Cyrus were the best. Jeff and King at the front remembered our names and were a font of knowledge for directions and things to do. 5 star service! I will return. Get the breakfast buffet. Well worth the price. Chef Angeli’s French toast is her personal recipe and was the Best. Sushi Chef Victor created masterpieces with fish.

I really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was very friendly and super helpful. It’s also located in a prime location, which I really found helpful for a first time traveler to the Philippines/Manila. I would definitely stay again in the future.

Everything was great but I think I got overcharged. The rate I got when making the reservation was $155 per night (8,990 pesos at 58 to $1 rate). Was charged 10000 per night approximately $172.41. Didn’t get the chance to review the receipt until yesterday. That’s around $35 overcharges for two nights. Hope they stick to the reservation rate and refund me the overcharge.
