A little far off of the beating path, but that is not a negative in anyway! It felt like you were on two separate vacations when you would go back to your cabin! Beautiful views, beautiful grass! You can tell he truly loves what he does and his property. The pool, hot tub and sauna will be killer one day! We will be back

Luxury seems like a misnomer
This cabin is located in a safe and peaceful setting with good open/common green spaces. It’s a nice enough cabin, but luxury is not a fair descriptor. I would say the pictures accurately depict the aesthetic, but not the function. Our first night was tainted by the smell of a dead mouse. The host responded quickly, removed the mouse and aired the place out. The host gifted us $50 toward our dinner for the issue. We were unable to use parts of the cabin because of smells for the remaining 3 days. The cabin was in need of a deep clean—lots of dust, spider webs, and general buildup (as was mentioned in a previous renter’s review). The towels and linens were not of a luxury quality and the toiletries were a hodgepodge of cheap brands. Some had been watered down. Not a big deal for me because I brought my own towels, linens and toiletries. I did have to go to the store to buy a few small items—new kitchen sponge and hand soap. I mention this only as an example of why luxury is a misnomer. Moving between the master bedroom and bathroom was annoying because of the tight space and the French doors in that area. The water is either very hard water that has not been treated or very hard water that has been over-softened. Either way, the water was unpleasant. Having stayed in another VRBO cabin in the past (which was comparatively amazing), I was working off a different definition of luxury.

Dream Cabin
The Gate House was a wonderful place to stay! We were there at the end of November. The cabin was so beautiful in the snow. We had plenty of wood for a fire every night in the fireplace. Authentic, attention to detail in decor and trim, antique doors, petrified wood stone fireplace, animal footprints pressed into the old terracotta floor tiles. It was warm and comfortable and exciting. The copper soaking tub was fabulous, the shower was divine with two shower heads and nice hot water. The terracotta tile floor must have been heated because it was warm. All the lights had dimmer on them which made the ambiance delightful. It was quiet with a remarkable view of the mountains just behind the cabin, watching the sky get bright in the morning between the mountain peaks was lovely. Without any bright lights around, the stars were just gorgeous at night. The kitchen appliances were state of the art. There was tea and hot chocolate available. The loft bed surrounded by windows was very cool. There was a large selection of board games. Plenty of towels and throws and the warmest blankets ever! The host was always available for any questions. It was just such a magical place....I just wanted to stay there permanently. And it was just a short trip into the quaint town of Moab and the Arches National Park. So glad we got to experience this beautiful, wonderful, exciting stay!

TGreat Cabin one misleading thing.
This cabin was GREAT. Such a great location, absolutely beautiful and overall everything one would want in a cabin stay except the hot tab is not inside the house as the pictures show it. You walk to it and if you go in the absolute winter then it’s tough. It’s shared by other ranchers too. Other than that everything was great.

Peaceful Getaway
The cabin was just as it was advertised; cozy, rustic, renovated and beautiful views! There was plenty of room for myself, my husband, our 11-year-old daughter, and my mother. The copper tub was absolutely amazing! It was so nice to be able to soak in a nice, hot bath after being outside in the cold. We enjoyed having our meals at the dining room table and we used the fire place every day. The views from every window were amazing! The location is only about 20 minutes from town, and it was so relaxing being away from the hustle and bustle. I gave only 4 stars because there were a few things that I felt need a bit of attention. Because it is a pet friendly rental, there was quite a bit of dog hair on the rugs. I felt that they could have been cleaned a bit better. I also felt that there was quite a bit of dust/cobwebs built up on the decor above the kitchen countertops and in the living room. The bathroom with the shower had dust bunnies in the corners and the shower had hair from a previous guest on the wall. We cooked almost all of our meals at the cabin. We felt that there were not enough pots, pans, cooking utensils available. And lastly, we would recommend putting a rug under the bed in the loft. It is on wheels and with someone sleeping/moving around in it, the noise is quite loud for the person below on the murphy bed.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful cabin and thoroughly enjoyed Pack Creek Ranch. All the other reviews were true: excellent location near town but happily just outside; much cooler and greener up in the mountains, awesome cabin offered comfort plus luxury, and the goats & apples outside were just icing on the cake. Take some time to take off your shoes and walk barefoot through acres of incrediblly soft green grass, take in the glorious views, and soak in the copper tub. Your soul will thank you! :-) We hope to be back again someday, thanks for hosting us!

Magical little log cabin gem!
This cozy little log cabin is about 20 minutes south of Moab and well worth the drive. Just the right amount of time to get away and unwind. Inside and out, this cabin has all the amenities of modern life, while feeling like you've stepped onto an old western movie set. Stone and logs line the interior and exterior of the home with well appointed bathrooms and kitchen. By far, the most stunning home I could find in Moab to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. Worth every penny!

I freaking Loved this place!
Out of town a bit, snuggled up to the La Sal mountains on an amazing old dude ranch. Everyone was super friendly and the cabin was cozy and spacious. The caretaker was super nice and informative and the dogs had a blast. This was our first time in Moab and I feel like we got super lucky! Driving through town and seeing some of the more commercial places, I'm super happy we got a more genuine Moab experience. Don't let the 10 minutes outside of town deter you, it was a blessing. ...and if you have a dog you HAVE to stay here. Sean & Mee

We really enjoyed our stay. The copper soaking tub was a favorite. Stocked with everything you might need (bring a wine key lol, we had to get creative) but other than that we enjoyed our time sitting around the wood burning stove, playing games, cooking delicious food and relaxing. Highly recommend, we’ll be back soon!
