It was satisfactory, bit tired, shower over bath no ideal when comparing with similar priced property.
Quiet and clean, bed was good, so in that regard nice.

Overall the hotel itself was nice but we did run into a few issues. One was that there was no kids menu (this was my oversight) although the Auckland, Canterbury and Dunedin hotels all have a kids menu.
Next someone called my room (for a nice reason) at 9pm when I had a 4 year old asleep.
Lastly the cleaner entered my room when I was getting dressed as they had marked us as checking out when we hadn’t.

"Mostly clean room. Bin hadn’t been emptied of a drink can and there was a ‘toffee pop’ biscuit under the chair. Shared bathroom which I didn’t think I was getting when I booked the room. Poor breakfast choices. Could not access the fire escape from the room as the window only opened about three inches. ..."
