We loved the pool areas. I hate the indoor area was not open during our stay, but all of the pool areas were very enjoyable. The specific unit we were in smelled awful in the hallway and had the stench of marijuana. The unit had a musty smell. Not sure if maybe all the units are different and maybe there are some updated units that would have enhanced the experience, but that would have been a great option. Other hallways also did not seem to smell of marijuana, so I think we unfortunately just stayed in an unfavorable unit.

This property was definitely NOT worth the money spent on a two night stay. We rented a two bedroom condo for the weekend and upon check in, found the room to be dirty and just unacceptable especially since we had a baby with us. The floors were dirty, there were stains on the counters and when we opened the cabinet to get a cup out, a roach crawled out. When we went in the bathroom, there was hair all over the shower floor and even the towels and the toilet seat and lid had hair on it. There was bug guts on the walls and the bed sheets even smelled like they weren’t clean. We went to take one of the extra blankets out the closet for the baby since it was cold in the room and there were dead bugs in the bag with the blanket. We are not ones to complain about accommodations, but this was disgusting. We have paid less for better accommodations. We talked to the front desk over the phone about the state of the room and we were told there was nothing they could do about it and we would have to take it up with Expedia. In the morning, I’m assuming what was the maintenance guy showed up at our door and asked, “what do you want cleaned” and in response, my husband stated that we needed everything cleaned because it didn’t seem like any of it had been done. We went and spoke to the front desk about it and the manager stated she was sorry and that was unacceptable and that she would compensate us with $75 gift card to the restaurant on property.

Several disturbing experiences in one weekend.
Renaissance Tower was not desirable. Barely clean. Bed was ok but pull out couch was as extremely uncomfortable. Coffee table had been broken in half and then glued back together and unstable. The screen door for the balcony couldn’t be opened without a lot of force. We left for dinner and upon our return we were met with a very unfriendly gate guard who acted as if we inconvenienced him when I rolled down the window and asked a simple question. Back at the room we had one working light in the entire condo and everytime the A/C would cut on it would make a horrible screeching sound waking us each time. Check-out was at 10am on Sunday with the scare that if we were late leaving there would be an astronomical fee. Unfortunately at 9:38am my 6 year old son vomited in the bathroom and it happened to be the chocolate cake he had eaten the night before. I clean up the mess the best I could with what was provided for me, a few towels and some water. I left the dirty towels in the floor for housekeeping to pick up. When leaving, I stopped by the front desk and spoke to a very sweet front desk associate and I explained to her what had happened and she said to me that the situation would be noted and the cleaning team would be informed. At 5pm on Sunday evening I received several disturbing emails accusing us of leaving feces on the floor and charged my card and was asked to never return to the resort. We wouldn’t return anyway but very unprofessional solution to an issue.

When I first started to book the stay, the rate was posted for an amount I was comfortable with. I went through the process of booking and I was shocked to see beside the usual taxes and fees, there was also an additional outrageous fee added on for rental charges. Also, we we were charged for parking. Usual check in time is 4pm or later. We found out the office closed at 5pm, so basically they give you an hour to check in. If you want to check in earlier, they charge a separate fee. You only get one set of towels and linens during your stay. If you need clean towels or linens, you have to take them to the laundry room and pay for cleaning them. I've never seen or experienced anything like this before. If any of this is acceptable to you then by all means book your vacation at Myrtle Beach Resorts..this will be my one and only time.

So much to do all in one place! Multiple pools ensured there was never overcrowding. We enjoyed the beach, lazy river and drinks from the beach bar. Our room was ok and sufficient given we didn't spend much time there. Our only complaint was that the bed was not comfortable and the sliding doors to the balcony didn't work. One wouldn't open at all. Full kitchen was nice and all was clean. Met some great people and staff was friendly and helpful. We would go back.

I really enjoyed the lazy river area. The larger pool was also awesome. The food at the Quarterdeck restaurant was excellent as were the drinks. The entertainment was adequate just not my style of music(I like rock n roll). Our studio apartment was clean and well appointed. The only complaint is the bathroom was too tiny and the sink to wash your hands was outside the bathroom.

Mold on the ceilings you could smell the mold and the building we were in stunk. Was thinking it was a nice size room ended up being very small for 4 people. Air conditioning didn't work either leg early because it was too hot to sleep and the smell.
