Best island resort in Fiji
Qamea is a place we’re you truly get to learn what and who Fiji is. It’s secluded area and atmosphere is something we will not forget in our lifetime. Not only did the staff take a great care of us, but they made us feel like family. From singing happy birthday to my wife and making her a birthday cake, to the amazing massage we received everything could not have been more perfect.

Staff was amazing and the property was beautiful! Everybody knew our names and it felt like a close knit family. The spa was tucked away in the jungle and was absolutely amazing. Although I realize we were on a very remote island, the food was very expense (personal size pizza $50 USD when tax is added) and options were limited. The staff was fairly persistent in asking what your dinner order was when you sat down for breakfast in the morning which I thought was a bit different.

Amazing place for relaxation and beauty
This is an excellent resort for relaxation and friendly service. I took advantage of yoga each day, the amazingly beautiful and majestic jungle spa and also took a short kayaking tour. I also went on a wonderful hike of 2 local waterfalls and swam in both and went on the local village tour to meet some of the local Fijians. The staff, setting, activities and food were all amazing at the Qamea Resort and Spa and I'll definitely be back!

Honeymooners
The hotel was nice, staff was friendly they gave us a good welcome gift and made us feel at home. We had a pooor experience with a tour that was offered where they over charged us by 300% after speaking with other people from the resort and locals make sure if your travel agent doesn't give you vouchers to just organize your own events. As a business owner myself I understand standardized markup is ok but they are gouging people at this resort.... We paid $850 usd for a room for one night, breakfast, lunch, dinner, 10 minute hike to the falls, and 20 minutes at the natural water slide. We spoke to another honeymoon couple who had a different room but paid 2k for 7 days all the meals and all the tours and massages. 10 min away is another resort called mantangi which is much nicer, private and about the same price we would recommend that resort for you honeymooners.

Great location and even better staff
From the time we arrived until we left, the staff were without exception so obliging and friendly that even if everything else was not up to standard it would not have mattered. Given everything else was excellent the holiday was everything we would have wanted.

Awesome resort with one of a kind staff.
We went to Qamea for our honeymoon. When we arrived to the island we immediately felt relaxed. The beach is nice & resort is very well kept. The entire staff is nice, friendly, attentive & accomidating. You really do get a 5 star service here. The resort is on a remote island so you definitely feel like you are on an island all by yourself. All we could hear were the birds chirping, the wind blowing & the ocean waves. Qamea is truly special. if you are looking to relax, eat and sleep this is the place for you. There are activities but you can do as much or as little as you'd like. We will definitely be visiting Qamea again.

A must for a relaxing fijiian holiday.
We had a wonderful stay, despite being rainy and overcast for the week. We loved the snorkelling right off the beach, kayaking, great food and friendly, caring staff. Our only complaint was mosquitoes at night in the bure. Other than that, a very relaxing and enjoyable time. We would definitely stay again.

Awesome honeymoon
Bula!...I've never heard a word so widely used.....The staff at this resort are the friendliest I have ever come across!...From the gardeners to the restaurant staff....just wonderful. We spent seven nights at the resort. The trip there was long but so worthwhile from the moment we stepped onto the gorgeous beach. We were met and immediately shown to our Bure, Lulu. A beachfront bure offering large 4 poster bed, comfortable couch and table, wardrobe and side cabinets, all with a separate bathroom, shower and restroom. Plenty of room and very comfortable. AC was in room. The Honeymoon Bures from what we could see from a walk by looked stunning!....although for the $ not sure what you got that would be worth paying extra for as the beachfront bure had everything we needed! The restaurant was no more than a two minute walk away where we found a very spacious open feeling, with bar and comfortable restaurant. The drinks were superb and the food was better still. In our room each night was the "Qamea Times"...a one page fact sheet showing the days activities, guests names showing who was leaving and new arrivals....and of course the menu for the next day. This was actually nice to read during the evening to help plan the next day. Breakfast was awesome. Full selection of fruits, cereal, muffins, toast and a selection from the menu, waffles, bacon, eggs, muesli and the most amazing French Toast! Lunch and dinner selections are made during the breakfast sitting....at first I thought this might be hard,...but given the choices and the subsequent amazing meals I'm sure you could pick anything and love it! The resort itself is immaculate and quite stunning. The beach is gorgeous, long enough for a nice stroll and typically deserted! We found that we laid out on the grass in the super comfy recliners which were no more than 20 feet from the beach rather than on the sand itself, which was a little narrow and only got direct sun in the afternoons. Activities were varied each day and there was no pressure at all to do any of them. We chose to visit the local village which was very interesting and also the waterfall hike, which was simply stunning! We had the private dinner on the beach which again was lovely. Be sure to sign up on the activities board that is located behind the bar area. We took 2 snorkeling tours, one led by a local dive guy which was simply awesome...and one was led by the dive master .....which leads to my only real gripe...the dive master was a control freak!!...as experienced divers / snorkelers we felt patronized and just put off by his behavior. You have to wear an odd floaty that trailed us by a rope connected to our leg and were over instructed in very basic things. Made no difference to the vacation as we just went snorkeling on our own and had a good laugh about it! We had friends who actually dived and had wonderful dives visually but again were put of by this guy....apparently you can request a local dive guy....just a heads up! The waters were clear and we spotted several sharks and many gorgeous fish.... The Spa was awesome and my wife went twice and thoroughly enjoyed the visits. I went once and received my first ever massage...very relaxing. Finally, the excursion to Honeymoon beach was amazing, you get dropped off by boat to the beach with a picnic lunch and drinks and basically picked up two hours later. We saw no people, or boats during our stay....it was magical. Overall...if you are looking for a completely relaxing, sun drenched, luxurious vacation....go to Qamea.

Just amazing
The resort is just amazing, beautiful suroundings with lush vegetation, very well maintained. It's like a magical world. The rooms combine very well the traditional Fiji bure looks (high ceiling, thatched roof, open air bathroom) with modern comfort (AC, well running water, very clean). The staff is great, very warm and helpful and offer personal service. The food is amazing as well and changes every day. I also appreciated the evenings with music and where the guests can socialise with the others if they choose so. The weather was not always great, had pouring rain a few of the days, but we still enjoyed our stay a lot. The only minus is that the activities on Taveuni (Lavena walk, waterfall trip) are done once or twice a week so if the weather is not good on the planned days or not enough people register you miss out on them.

Excellent endroit
